The ride from Punta Cana took 3 hrs to get to the Catamaran and two hours to get back to Punta Cana. The Catamaran was crowded with no where to sit. The drink available was rum & Coke. The total day took 13.5 hours, I would not recommend this tour.

My friend and I got left on the beach. No formal count of ppl on the boat at all. To know how many people should be present. Someone did returned back to pick us up. We kept asking the tour guy is it time to go he said no. We were the only two black girls. I don't know who realize 😕 we where missing, but that could have turned into a nightmare

This tour was decent overall. Our guide Nector was tons of fun and pretty informative about the experience. We hit everything in the description: took a speed boat to the island, stopped in a “natural pool” which was a shallower part of the ocean, stayed on the island for about 2.5 hours, ate lunch, and came back on the catamaran which took another 1.5-2 hours.
Pros:
- the island was pretty beautiful. We got a ton of good pics and they have their own professional photographers to take and edit your pics. Their asking price is pretty high but definitely a lot of room to negotiate.
- the natural pool was a fun stop. You arrive there on a speed boat so it is pretty quick to get there.
- tons of optional things to buy on the island. Their pina colada was great!
- catamaran was fun and they played fun music to dance to
- free soda and well drinks for the whole day
Cons:
- It’s at least an hour drive from Punta Cana to Bayahibe, probably more from Bávaro. The van we went in was okay, but there were a lot of mosquitos in the car.
- food was okay at best. If you are vegetarian, your options will be limited. Bring some snacks and eat a big breakfast before leaving your hotel.
- the catamaran back does take a long time. If you are drinking and dancing, it’ll probably fly by, but I wasn’t since I was with family that isn’t too big on that lol.
- I felt that they should have an option to stay on the island for another hour and take a speed boat back; we definitely wanted to spend a little more time on the beach.
- the biggest con is that it just takes the whole day. We left at 8:45 and returned at 6:30 and were just so exhausted. Most of the day is just traveling (which is pretty common for any all-day tour)
If you are not staying at an all inclusive resort, this trip is a fun way to get some beach fun in a different setting. This trip is probably a lot more fun if your party enjoys drinking and dancing. That being said, a lot of the day is just traveling to and from the island, so if you want to spend more time on the island, maybe book a private tour. And if you are at an all-inclusive resort, this tour is probably not worth leaving your resort for a whole day lol.

. Terrible food. I do not recommend eating on the island. I recommend taking a package with food from the hotel

This excursion was so beautiful the island is amazing. I wished we had stayed at the sand bar a bit longer and there were a lot of boat rides to get to the island. But it was so worth the beautiful blue water and the white sand.

This tour is organized chaos. Make sure you eat a big breakfast and pack snacks. We were on this tour a total of 12 hours. The ride there was almost 3 hours, on which we were taken in a van to other resorts to pick up other guests, and we also made 3 other random stops to two gas stations and one was even the side of the highway. On these stops, some passengers were exchanged which was worrisome. The language barrier is an issue as they don't really communicate whats happening so the stops are unnerving. When we finally arrived to the marina, we were swarmed with people selling things and were given wristbands. Again, it was hard to figure out who was leading the tour as they were all in plain clothes. We were somewhat kept in a group then waited for at least 30 more minutes near the shops and on the beach with no explanation, and finally ushered onto a speed boat. Once on board, it was a 30 minute ride to the natural swimming area. the experience then was amazing. The natural swimming area is gorgeous, we stayed for 45 mins, and Saona Island was even more so (we stayed from 12:30 to 2:30) The food was also very good especially since you're starving from the journey. Then you take a boat from Saona to the catamaran, which is very nice and fun as well. The ride back to the marina is around 1.5 hours. Once there, we again waited in a group and I have no idea how but we found our same driver from the morning and people who were in the van with us. There were no random stops to exchange passengers on the way back, so the ride was closer to 2 hours.
The worst part was: One of the tour guides was with us in the transport van on the way back lost his “vape” in the car and thought that we had stolen it. He even asked us to search our bag, which we obliged as we just wanted to get home safe, but it was quite insulting and unnerving.
Overall, the ride there was chaotic and stressful as we were scared we were going to be switched to different vehicles.
HOWEVER: the natural pool and Saona was gorgeous and relaxing so if youre okay with not really knowing whats going on for the transport there and back, I would recommend going on the Saona but maybe with a different operator.
We got there and back in one piece but there were definitely scary moments along the way. The beauty of the pool, catalmaran and Saona was almost worth it, but I dont think I personally would go on this tour again with the same operator.

This was amazing. The water was so warm and blue. Very safe and organized. They are very kind and helpful to get you where you are going. The food was fabulous. Sailing and Rum, top notch.

We had to wait close to 2 hours at the dock. There was no place to sit with young children. They promised extra time at the island, but they actually asked us to get off early!! Spending 12 hours in transit and wait for less than 2 hours in the island is not worth it in my opinion. Tourists trap!
