This review is really for the operator, MTM, instead of the activity itself. I got two emails days apart before the activity with different pickup points, so tried to call up and also sent an email for clarification; there was no response to either. Fortunately, our hotel was only 1 min from the second pickup point where they were not aware of any pickups, so we were at the first pickup point at the designated time, but no driver. When I called the contact number again, the lady who responded was speaking in Greek! I asked somebody else to talk to her whereupon we were told the bus had left and we have to make our way down to the port and get on the tour by ourselves. Funny thing was that even before we were halfway there, an email came to say we were a no-show and have forfeited our payment. I complained back that the driver never came the whole time.
Truth to tell, this review would have been a 1-star if they hadn't finally offered a 50% refund of the amount we paid.
Don't book this activity online. Pickups are unreliable (there was another couple waiting for another company; not sure what happened to them). Go to the port and book personally yourself.

What a great day on the open water! Our guide Gabriel was great, never rushing anyone, really friendly and shared information in English, Spanish and Italian so that everyone could learn about the region. Vassili our captain was extremely skillful with the boat and took us as close as possible to some of the volcanic formations. His knowledge about the area and the recommendations he gave us to visit were highly appreciated and turned out to be amazing!!
If you don’t mind larger group tours, then you should definitely look into this one.

Hotel pickup-not really. Bus has several meeting points,plan on an hour on the bus if you are in Oia.
Port-Confusing and disorganized.several guides shouting in different languages herding is like cattle.
Boat-Comfortable with a bar and bathrooms
Guide-Friendly enough and knowledgeable,spoke 4 languages but felt like she was going through motions,recommended a crappy restaurant.
Volcano hike-Enjoyed this,beautiful,moderate hike. Wear close toed shoes no flip flops. Lasted about an hour. Probably hard to make the top in time if older or poor conditioning.
Hot Spring-Worth the visit but only strong swimmers allowed. Not very hot but was ok.
Thirassia-Waste of two hours time. Ships all dock here and you eat or walk the steps or swim on the rocks. Suggestion:pack food.Guide recommended Captain Johns and we paid way too much for dried out souvlaki and an ok tomato Greek salad. Other places looked better but we had already eaten.
Caldera cruise-last hour spent just cruising.Gorgeous,beautiful ride.
Transport back-more confusion.waited 45 min on bus before moving,then another 30 min ride home.
Conclusion-Loved being on the boat,hiking volcano but entire experience was over 9 hours.There has to be a better way to do this. Not sure we would do it again,would gladly pay more for a better experience.

After a whirlwind holiday taking in Athens, Mykonos and Naxos, we ended in Santorini which was beautiful. This sunset cruise was the last thing on our agenda, and it didn't disappoint. The ship itself was exactly what I'd envisaged, and was spotlessly clean. The guide was brilliant, and the food was exemplary. It was the perfect end to our Greek adventure. I would recommend it to anyone. Well worth the money.

Lovely excursion and our guide Constantin was really great, he speaks many languages and has a great knowledge of history. The only thing that is disappointing is the huge crowds..

My boyfriend and I did the boat tour to the volcano and the hotsprings and it was wonderful! I was a bit unsure about going because I don't really like boats and I did not want to get seasick... but the guy who helped us book the tour reassured me that the boat was big enough not to feel the movemets too much: so we went! We went to Oia, saied from there to the hotsprigs, where we stayed about 45 minutes and we could go enjoy them as weel (they have a beautiful copper colour and are very good for the skin), then we moved to the volcano, we followed the guide onto the paths and we visited every part of it! The visit at the volcano lasted 2 and a half hours, so if you're going during the summer make sure to bring water, sunscreen and some food, too!
