Our tour starts from the airport and then we will start through the main avenue of the city, knowing its history and its surroundings. We will go down to the cobblestone neighborhood of Lastarría, a characteristic sector for its green areas and beautiful houses of the XIX century, now restored and mostly used as cafes, restaurants, and museums. Then, head to Cerro Santa Lucia, learning from the history of the Mapuches and the confrontation with the Spanish. From its terraces we will have a panoramic view of Santiago, as well as admire relics and constructions from the colonial era, such as Castillo Hidalgo. We will go to our next stop, on the way we can see emblematic places of the city such as the Plaza de Armas, The Santiago Cathedral and the national congress. Also the imposing government house called “La Moneda” and next to it the “Plaza de la Constitución” and also. Finally, we will meet the Central Market, famous place by our traditional seafood!

it was a satisfactory tour and help spend some time during a long layover. In my opinion, the cost was a little high for the value received, but our driver and tour guide were very nice.

The driver for this tour was an hour late picking us up from the airport, losing crucial time in a stopover tour. The guide spoke very poor English and a four hour tour lasted only 2 hours. Not our best experience.

We had a 6 hour layover in Santiago and rather than spending it at the airport decided to do this tour. Our guide, Rod, and the driver were waiting for us after clearing immigration etc and were very flexible about what we had time to see. We did a little drive around the city and then walked around with our guide. The cathedral was not yet open so we stopped for a much needed coffee and then went to the cathedral. We were back at the airport in plenty of time for our onward flight. It was great to get some fresh air between flights.
Would recommend this tour, however if you are traveling on an Australian Passport you have to pay the USD117 Recipicol Fee.
