Begin your tour at Downtown (“Centro”), where you will get the tram (“bondinho”) to the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa. You will drive over the Arcos da Lapa.
Then, walk along the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa, a bucolic area in Rio de Janeiro. You will visit the Ruins Park (closed on Monday ), a public park with an art gallery built around the ruins of a mansion. Up next, you will walk down the colorful Selarón Steps, one of Rio’s landmarks, and arrive at the district of Lapa, the zone with most traditional nightlife.
Take a stroll in the Passeio Público, the oldest public park in the South America, to reach Cinelândia, a lively spot in Rio thanks to its bars, restaurants and cultural attractions. Your last stop will be at Confeitaria Colombo (closed on Sundays), a permanent member of all “must-see cafés” rankings around the world.

Alexia was an amazing tour guide, she was funny, interesting and knowledgeable! She controlled the tour group in a nice manner and was always conscientious of the time. Cannot recommend the tour guide enough!!
Just make sure you give your WhatsApp number, they didn’t try to comunícate with me in any other form for pick up. I never received an updated pick up time. I presumed they’d text my Brazilian number or email me the pick up time.

Excellent tour, good explanation, very punctual, clear explanations from Alexia and Douglass.
Very elegant cafe. In general, your guide and motorcyclist were very good and I recommend them for any visitor.

This was an excellent tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Manuel is a great guide who is pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable about the city. The tour was well planned and enabled us to see a variety of parts of the city that are not included in some of the other tours. The street car ride was lovely as was the stop at the Cafeteria Colombo. All in all a great tour and well worth the price.

Late 20 minutes. 2 Tours on the same bus. Was supposed to be 4 hours from 9 to 1 and ended up being close to 5 hours and we had to leave tour and taxi back to hotel in order to get to our ship on time.

So enjoyed the entire tour from the streetcar ride to a snack stop at the iconic Confeitaria Colombo. Our guide Manuel was professional and inclusive. The Selarón Steps were definitely a must see although daunting when gazing downward. I needed some reassurance and assistance to make the descent and it was kindly provided. The vehicle was comfortable and driver was kind and adept. My husband and I highly recommend this tour when in Rio.

We loved the Selaron steps, the tram ride and the walk through St Terese. Our guide Manuel was very knowledgeable and affable. It all went smoothly from pick up to drop off.
