The tour leader was very good, emanuela. The train ride was packed , we were lucky to get a seat as many people had to stand, 2 hours to Salzburg
It would be just as easy to catch the train there yourself for the day and wander around rather than do tour which was public train, bus 1 hr tour and then 2+ hours free time

German Mark tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. He was fun, engaging, and able to answer any questions we had. Lots of walking. Many suggestions were offered as far as food, things to do, and places to visit during our solo time. We even stopped at a few Sound of Music places! An absolute wonderful experience.

German Mark tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. He was fun, engaging, and able to answer any questions we had. Love the fact that he gave clear and concise instructions regarding each step and stop we were taking. As a person that is directionally challenged, this was a huge plus. Many suggestions were offered as far as food, things to do, and places to visit during our solo time. We even stopped at a few Sound of Music places! An absolute wonderful experience.

The tour guide was Jeremy from Australia who was very knowledgeable and easy going. It was a great day from starting at the office, getting on the train to Salzburg and then arriving and being guided around for 90 mins and then set free for a few hours to have your own time. Perfect amount of time in the city and a pleasant return journey back to Munich. Hassle free tour and quite relaxing with magnificent scenery on the train journey and in Salzburg.
Hint: on the train to Salzburg sit on the right hand side if you want the best scenic views!!!!

Positives first: once we reached Salzburg the walking tour around town was very memorable. Lots of things to see. However, the journey to Salzburg began with a messy change of trains and then standing the entirety of the trip to our final destination. The guide (Emanuella) did not do a good job of keeping track of the participants and her directions during the walking tour wasn’t well explained. It’s a good trip which has potential to be great with proper guidance.

Lucia was a great guide! Very attentive and enthusiastic. Train service was smooth as well. The amount of time in Salzburg was enough to see what I wanted to see.

Salzburg is my favourite city to visit. It is small but has a lot of history. The cable car to the Fortress is impressive. It was safe and fast. The bread with sausage inside on the square was very delicious, especially the bread. I will remember the taste forever.

The trip itself was great despite the crowd there and so was the guide, I would opt to take a private bus or van there the next time, however, as the train we took gets way packed. The guide at least made sure most of us got seats before the crowd poured in.
