We had a fantastic guide for the day (Roy/Michael) and an extremely comfortable ride there and back.
We stopped at a great spot along the way for a quick morning bite/coffee and break before our stops along the lake region. The weather wasn't spectacular for one of the views along the way, but we made the best of it... you can't always predict mother nature. In Salzburg, we had a great waking tour that wasn't rushed, and our guide made it very known that if you wanted to go off and do your own thing there were no hard feelings. After the walking tour, we had time for a late lunch at a great restaurant recommended by the guide along the way and then a little shopping. We picked up some amazing gouda cheese at one of the stands we passed on the walking tour.
Lots of Sound of Music references along the way in the lake region and Salzburg.
It was a great day, and we definitely recommend it!

Lake region was not accessible due to weather. Driver tried several times to reach a visita, but we really couldn’t see anything - a waste of time! We should have proceeded to Salzburg. The time in Salzburg was too short could have used several more hours. The driver was safe, very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a detailed description of Vienna as we left the city, pointing out various sights of interest. The tour of Salzburg was good, wish we had listening devices as it was sometimes difficult to hear as the streets were crowded. Again, not enough time to see more than one sight.

Very nice drive and guide to Salzburg. Plenty of photo opportunities. The driver was great at explaining certain aspects of the trip and the guide through Salzburg was bubbly and great at explaining certain areas

Very enjoyable day trip out. Long drive to and fro but the driver/guide Robert was very knowledgeable and made it interesting. Would definitely recommend this.
