Enjoy an easy, culturally-enriching bus trip from Osaka to Kyoto. The tour starts with a magical train ride on the Sagano Romantic Train to Arashiyama and takes you to the UNESCO world heritage site of Kiyomizu-dera, finishing the journey with a visit to the Fushimi Inari Shrine. There are several convenient pickup locations near hotels in Kyoto, Umeda and Namba.

1. Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
The Fushimi Inari Shrine is the head shrine for some 30,000 Inari shrines all across Japan. It is especially famous for its seemingly endless 1,000 vermilion shrine torii (gates). Fushimi Inari was dedicated to the gods of agriculture, the deities were enrolled to ensure prosperity in business, a bountiful harvest and traffic safety.
2. Arashiyama
Arashiyama district is located in the Western part of Kyoto. This area becomes most attractive around early April and late November when the cherry blossoms bloom and the colors of the fall seasons usually peak. During the summer months, traditional cormorant fishing is practiced on the Hozu River for tourists to watch. One highly recommended spot is the Sagano Bamboo Forest. Later, you will have lunch (if selected) at designated restaurants.
3. Kiyomizu-dera Temple
There is a Japanese proverb regarding “jumping off of the stage at Kiyomizu". This is the Japanese equivalent of the English expression "to take the plunge". Here in the Main Hall, there is a large wooden stage that juts out over the hillside. It was built without using a single nail and is supported by 139 pillars. The view of the city of Kyoto from this Kiyomizu Stage is magnificent. The Kiyomizu-dera (the temple of clear water) was named after the Otowa Waterfall which is said to be good for your longevity, health, and study if you drink from it. This temple is famous for the cherry blossoms in spring and the foliage in autumn.
4. Torokko Kameoka Station Tourist Information Center
Upon arrival at Kameoka Station, begin your exploration of this UNESCO-recognized capital of Japanese culture by boarding the Sagano Romantic Train to Arashiyama (10:29 - 10:53). Visitors who arrive in this striking area in April will be treated to the visual feast of blooming cheery blossom trees, while those who arrive in November are likely to experience the area’s fiery fall colors. Attention: Boarding time may change. If so, the itinerary will also be revised. Your seat will be assigned by the tour conductor

Great experience with a great guide. She was very friendly and gave a bit of background for each location. I thought the time at Kiyomizudera was too short….cant explore the temple AND visit with the little shops that lined the street to the temple. I understand that visiting 3 iconic sites in one day is a tight itinerary but did wish I had more time at the temple with that said, I would definitely recommend this tour.

Very nice and short trip with excellent views. You should book the train as soon as you arrive in Arashiyama because it's usually a very busy attraction.

It was the highlight of my trip to Kyoto. The tour was well organised by Limon Tour Company and covered all attractions mentioned. Both the tour guides and the driver were highly professional and made sure all parts of the tour went smoothly without drama. Both the local Japanese interstate visitors and international visitors booked the tours, and the quality is endorsed by the local people too. The general standard of services in Japan is known to be high, and this tour is no exception but better.

The experienced Tour Leader Hama with our group is knowledgeable about the areas and keen to talk to tour members about the history and the local lifestyles. She was very accommodating to the needs of all passengers, helping people with disabilities, and left plenty of time for people to explore around, so people feel relaxed.

The Japanese buffet lunch option was selected during booking, it's a great experience to taste the local delicacy from 50+ varieties of food and snacks offered.

Generally speaking, the tour was better than I expected and it's value for money. I really appreciated all the hard work from both the tour leader and the driver that made the wonderful trip possible.

We were able to do a lot in one day! Seeing the shrines and temples were beautiful, but I wish we had more time at Senbon Torii. Felt like a sampled Kyoto and would have to go back again to truly see it. This tour is great if you want to see Kyoto but only have a day to do it. We had some time to stop at shops and grab snacks along the way. The buffet was ok, but I think I would opt out of it to have more time and try different street foods instead. The train was short but sweet, the only downside is one side sees more than the other and you can't choose your seat (even side has the best views,luckily I was on that side). Maria was a great guide!

We didn’t realize that we would be stopping to pick up and drop off guests in other locations. First 1/2 of morning only spent 30 minutes at Shrine rest of time waiting for others

The itinerary plan was fine. But the tour guide is the problem. Although she’s friendly but she’s not confident in leading the tour and she is also not informative. This tour feels like just providing a transportation from Osaka to Kyoto.
It was really disappointed.
