We had the best time in this rum Tour with Shad. Not only did we get to try lots of rums and cocktails, but Shad was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and flat out funny. We learned a lot about the history of rum, of the Bahamas, and of pirates. A great time was had by everyone and we would definitely recommend it!

The last hour and a half of the tour were good, once we got to the speakeasy and tasted the 5 rums and made the cocktail. Also loved finishing up at the Pirates Republic brewing company for the conch fritters and final cocktail. Our guide, Net, had a fun wit and provided some interesting anecdotes. The first hour was too slow. After a brief overview of the distillery we sat for 45 minutes not sure what we were waiting for. Finally our guide brought over a little snack. During that time it would have been nice to know we could have wandered, or been given more information. Skip the tour and do the flight, self guided tour, and have a cocktail at the distillery.

Shad was the best! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nassau. I really appreciate that it wasn't just about drinking rum (although that was plentiful) but that he also taught us a lot about pirates and the history of the Bahamas in a very entertaining way.
Be sure to look for someone in an Islandz Tours polo when you arrive at John Watling's. Our group from Sandals accidentally took the (much inferior) tour run by the Watling's staff first when we arrived. Night and day difference when we went through the distillery a second time with Shad!

An absolute blast! If I only had time to do one tour while I was in Nassau, THIS would be it! Shad was an amazing guide, we learned a lot about the history and culture of the islands and laughed way too much. This tour was not just about rum, don’t get me wrong - there was lots of rum, and Islandz Tours offers a one of a kind surprise experience so you must book this tour with them!
P.S. - Chad sucks, ask for Shad

Shad was amazing! Great tour, entertaining stories, fantastic rum and just an overall great time. This is a must do for anyone visiting. Ask due Shad, not Chad. :)
