Snorkeling over the coral reef was incredibly clear and beautiful. Our driver and guide, Eric and Tiberio were both nice and helpful.

I scheduled this boat tour in July for January 1. On the evening of Dec 30 I received an email and text saying that the tour had been cancelled and our money refunded. No explanation or other information. This was our family's day long activity and it was a little late to find another option. I emailed and texted requesting and explanation and the next day heard back that our boat captain decided to take Jan 1 off and therefore there was no boat for us. This was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. After pushing Gran Colombia did send me a couple of contacts for other options, but at the end of the day we were left without a tour for a full day and replacing it with short notice on a holiday just wasn't going to happen. At minimum I would have liked an explanation with my email cancellation as well as options to pursue - it was frustrating to have to ask for this.

The Trip organized by Gran Colombia tour offer included a bunch of surprises according to the offer on your website. Starting with the price: offer says USD335.00, if you update to a private tour only for 1 adult the price changes immediately to USD668.00🤔? This is a very peculiar practice, in Europe and the US this kind of offer will be treated as fraud and your website will be blocked by law immediately. Continuing with the original offer I booked: offer included soft beverages on the boat and also lunch. So I thought that justified the higher price per person. Great service and lunch was also mentioned in a high number of reviews. The booking was confirmed, excluding lunch, including soft drinks on the boat. Okay, I didn’t cancel the reservation because I already had invited my Colombian friends and I wanted to spend a wonderful day with them. But this treatment made me very unhappy. In addition there were no soft drinks aboard. Asking for a bottle of water, they couldn’t even offer it. Disappointing.
For lunch Junior, the guide, took us to a place called Tequila on Barú. We ordered the food immediately after getting there at noon, after 3 hours and embarrassing discussions we got our food. Food was okay. Nature was great, transparency of booking and communication was miserable and I am very disappointed that I offered this badly treated service to my friends. As I can see you updated your offer according to food and drinks. Nevertheless your offer still remains at USD 335.00. I am pretty sure that this treatment will kill your business, because no client wants to be treated like me. My columbian friends apologized to me and assured me that this is not the way they want their guests were treated in their country. Thank you for listening to my comment and I hope you will change your profile immediately. I will never forget your bad treatment. Friends from Germany are coming on a cruise in December, passing by in Cartagena and I will recommend them to avoid booking with Gran Columbia Tours.

The tour was well paced and enjoyable. The islands are beautiful even if the reef we were taken to was a bit dead. The tour guide was kind and knowledgeable about the area.

This was a nice tour to do with friends on a private boat. Nelson, Ariel, and Jesus took great care of all of us. Nelson helped us get some drinks before our tour and pointed out various things during the trip. The boat deck was freshly painted, and some got on sandals (nothing a little acetone can’t handle). Highly recommend when in Cartagena with friends or family.
The boat also provided a cooler with ice, water, and some sodas. You can connect to the boat’s Bluetooth speakers to play music.
The lunch provided was very good as well on Playa Blanca.

This tour was amazing!! If you come to Cartagena and not book this tour you are missing out. First off, Nelson our host is amazing! He picked us up from our airbnb at 8am on the dot! He took us to a supermarket to buy our alcohol and then went to the dock were we took the boat. The boat was clean and modern, one the best boats there. The captain and cocaptain of the boat were great too. They let us play our own music with great speakers that made the trip even more amazing. We went snorkeling and stopped in several beaches. Lunch was included and it was amazing, they served us fish and accomodate us to our own likes. We never felt rushed or pushed to do something we didnt want. Trust us when we say it is the highlight of our trip. If we ever come back to Cartagena we will do this tour again and will request Nelson to be our host. Thank u for everything!

This was my second time doing the Rosario Islands Private Boat Tour. I had so much fun the first time by myself that this time I brought my girlfriend so she could experience it herself. I requested Nelson, my tour guide from the first time, be my tour guide again. Just like the first trip, he was punctual from picking us up & made my girlfriend & I comfortable the entire time. He made sure we visited & stayed at all the spots that I enjoyed from my first time. My girlfriend snorkeled in La Piscina. We then stopped at the same small private beach I visited before & relaxed there for a little bit. We then wrapped up the tour at Playa Blanca. There we had delicious seafood for lunch & had drinks. Just as I said in my review the first time, I honestly would have done this tour AGAIN if I was staying longer in Cartagena. In fact, I will be returning to Cartagena in December with a friend & we will definitely be doing this tour. It will be by 3rd time doing this tour in less than a year & it never gets old or boring. THANK YOU AGAIN Nelson & Gran Colombia Tours for the best tour in Cartagena! See you again in December!

My guide throughout the tour was Nelson. He was punctual from the time picking me up & made sure I saw as much of the Rosario Islands as possible. Since it was just me, he made me feel very safe & comfortable the whole time & not once did I feel rushed. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the Rosario Islands & shared everything he knew about them down to the last detail. Our first stop was La Piscina, there I snorkeled & explored the coral reef. We then went to another island where I relaxed at a small & quiet beach. We then stopped at Cholón, which was basically a block party on the water with dozens of boats. We wrapped up the tour at Playa Blanca, there I had fresh & delicious seafood for lunch. The time flies by on this tour because you’re having the time of your life. I honestly would have done this tour AGAIN if I was staying longer in Cartagena. This tour should be taken by every tourist that stops through Cartagena. THANK YOU Gran Colombia Tours for the memorable tour & for pairing me with one of the BEST tour guides in Nelson.
