WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Vatican City
You will enter the Vatican Museums overflowing with masterpieces by many of Italy’s most important Italian artists. sitting alongside important works from Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. You will walk through famous galleries such as the tapestries and maps ones. You will learn the secrets of The Sistine Chapel, with its enormous Michelangelo’s frescoes. Here you will have time to observe the details of his sublime “Last Judgment”. Your guide will bring you directly from the Sistine Chapel into St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest Church, to admire Michelangelo’s “Pietà” and other highlights

(Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)You will start a driven guided tour with the Trevi Fountain, a secretive masterpiece and perhaps the most spectacular fountain in Rome. This iconic setting attracts many visitors. It was built at the end of one of the famed aqueducts that supplied the Roman Empire with water. Toss a coin into its waters to ensure a safe return to Rome at some stage in the future.
3. Spanish Steps
Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)You will proceed to the Spanish Steps, one of the biggest tourist spots in the city. As you stand and admire the Church of Trinitàdei Monti, which sits at the top of a famous stairwell with the Fontana Della Barcaccia at its foot, you will wonder how they were ever able to complete it.
4. Pantheon
Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)A true masterpiece to admire on your tour of Rome: The Pantheon. Immaculately preserved and seemingly just a few centuries old, it isn't easy to believe that the structure was finished in AD 128 by Emperor Hadrian. In the square in front - a gathering place for locals – discover a decorative 16thcentury fountain sitting beneath the Egyptian obelisk. Your guide will suggest the best time to go back and see the inside of the monument. Kindly NOTE that the line might be too long due to the metal detector and the visit is from outside.
5. Piazza Navona
(Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to Piazza Navona, one of the largest squares in the city. The space is incredibly popular among tourists for one primary reason: Bernini’s “Fountain of the Four Rivers.” Built to represent The Nile, The Ganges, The Danube, and Rio de la Plata, the structure now sits amidst the artists who arrive to peddle their wares daily.
6. Ancient Rome
The driver will pick you up at your hotel and bring you at the Colosseum, where you will meet your guide. After admiring the impeccably preserved Arch of Constantine, you will move onto the Coliseum. The grandest amphitheater in the world will amaze you! You will walk on the footsteps of Roman Emperors through the Roman Forum. Thanks to your guide’s explanations, you will be able to imagine their triumphal processions and public speeches. The Arch of Titus will be the perfect introduction to the panoramic hill of The Palatine. The ancient legend says that Romulus founded Rome on this hill in 753 B.C. Following his actions, the Emperors built here their opulent homes. After this complete Ancient Rome tour, you will fully understand Ancient Roman life.

• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• LIMITED MOBILITY Ancient Rome area and Vatican Museums visits involve SIGNIFICANT WALKING. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has wheelchair paths. Please note that the pathway from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter’s Basilica has 50 steps downwards and is not wheelchair accessible. The tour can continue to the Basilica only if all members of your private group can walk down the stairs, but, for safety reasons, it is not possible to carry wheelchairs and walkers down the stairs. If your private group includes participants with reduced mobility, we can still bring you to the Basilica, going back to the Museum's entrance and reaching it from the outside with the car. Although there is a dedicated pathway for wheelchairs, please be aware that there may be a queue to enter the Basilica. Also, note that other participants in your group will have to take charge of pushing the wheelchair.
• VATICAN IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS (and religious holidays). Due to the Wow Tour's high request, we designed a Sunday experience when the Vatican is closed. With your guide, and your driver you will explore St. Peter's Square, Castel Sant' Angelo area and other marvelous sites like the Aventine hill; from its top, you enjoy spectacular views over the city. As an alternative we will prospose other museums or arcaeological sites!
• Option 3 - WOW Tour - 8 hours: This tour has the car at disposal for the whole time. Nevertheless, transfers are scheduled according to entrance time tickets; if you need to anticipate or postpone a transfer, our staff will do their best to meet your needs.
• STROLLERS: We suggest avoiding strollers and using a baby sling instead. Like wheelchairs and walkers, strollers are not allowed in the passage from the Sistine Chape directly to the Basilica ( 50 steps downward ). Your private tour will end without the Basilica visit. The PREMIUM OPTION with the car at your disposal, helps us organize the Basilica visit. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has stroller paths.
• Option 1 - SHORE EXCURSION FROM ROME (CIVITAVECCHIA) PORT: this option includes pick up and drop off at the dock of your ship. It also includes the car at disposal during the tour. Nevertheless, transfers are scheduled according to entrance time tickets; if you need to anticipate or postpone a transfer, our staff will do their best to meet your needs.
• Option 2 - Mini WOW Tour - 6 hours: It is designed for those who are interested in the Colosseum and Vatican Visit and not in the tour of ther squares which is not included in this option.This tour has no car at diposal while you are inside the Vatican and the Colosseum. Nevertheless it icludes pick-up drop-off and intermediate transfers.

Tour guide Andreas was amazing, very knowledgeable and allowed us to be interactive. If you want and need to see it all in one day, this is the tour. It is a lot of sight seeing in one day however with the limited amount of time for a port adventure it was perfect. Gave 4/5 stars due to the driver. Tour came with a driver and a tour guide, 2 separate people to tip. Unfortunately, the main road to Rome was closed; our driver did get us to where we needed to be because we had timed tickets but the driving was slightly erratic. The driving continued throughout the tour and on the way back to port despite having enough time to board. Again very thankful however I think I lost a few hairs. I also wasn't prepared to split our tip. I had brought enough money for the tour guide based on the cost of the tour however didn't expect the driver to be with us all day, definitely something to keep in mind.

OMG!! Francesca, our guide, and Remo our driver were great! We personalized our tour with no problems whatsoever. Francesca was amazing as were all the beautiful sites we saw. She knew her history! Absolutely enjoyed every stop and appreciated Rome so much more. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for things to do. Truly worth the money!!

Francesca was our tour guide and Remo was our driver. Their knowledge and stories about Rome and all the sites we went to was astounding! We wouldn’t have been able to see all that we did if it hadn’t been for them.

This was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had! We were late arriving into Rome due to missing our connecting flight, and despite our best efforts slept through our alarm. The tour operator called us and was so understanding. Our driver, Rammo, patiently waited for us while we scrambled to get out of the house! He then navigated the streets of Rome with efficiency, ease, and with the right amount of hustle! Once we arrived to our first destination, our tour guide, Andy, was pleasant, warm, welcoming, and also understanding of our mishap. Andy was so well informed, knowledgeable, funny, personable, and just an all around amazing human being, and we felt well taken care of throughout the duration of the experience. We consider Rammo and Andy to be a dynamic duo and cannot express our gratitude for their services and attention. This experience was by far one of my favorite experiences traveling -of all time- and highly recommend them for your sightseeing needs. If you are looking for a personalized, luxury, informative, and five star service experience, this is the trip for you! Thank you, Andy and Rammo, for making our first visit to Rome absolutely unforgettable!

This is hands down the best day of our trip. Thanks to Patricia and Andrew for expertly guiding me and my daughters through Rome. We knew immediately that we were in for a treat, they were perfectly fun, funny and professional. We were able to see and do things we'd never have figured out on our own, and we learned things we'd have missed if we'd taken other tours. I cannot recommend this enough. And yes, we were a little sad when the day was over. Hugs were given. :-)

We got off the ship and headed to the private tour area where we met our driver, Andrea. We had an exciting ride into Rome, and despite getting off the ship a bit late and running into some road construction, we were still able to make our appointment at the Colosseum.

Francesca met us at the Colosseum and was our guide for the whole tour. She was a wealth of knowledge. After the Colosseum, we stopped at several squares and fountains, and enjoyed an authentic Italian meal at Ar Monte Testaccio before finishing our tour at the Vatican.

Again, Andrea navigated the chaotic Roman streets and the highway back to Civitavecchia, and we arrived safely back at our ship, Oasis of the Seas.
