Chiara Antonelli was the tour guide for my wife and I at the Vatican and I could not be more impressed with how amazing she was. Her knowledge on the Vatican was great and she was so funny! There is no tour guide my wife and I had that was better than her during our entire 2 week trip. This tour of the Vatican Dome Climb and the Vatican Museums is amazing, make sure you take it with Chiara, it won't be the same with anyone else!

Paolo provided a fantastic tour of St. Peter's Dome and the Vatican. He was so knowledgeable and really provided an indepth understanding of how forced perspective was used in the basílica to keep the building large without it feeling overwhelming. It was truly a memorable experience.

Quick entrance into the facility was a plus and into parts you can not enter without a guide but our guide would stop very often and talk for what felt like 10 minutes at a time and we wanted to keep walking to see more. This experience is so vast and the stopping was just to much. We ended up leaving early since the pace was very slow.

Early start but totally worth it to see the views from the top of St Peters and miss the crowds at the Vatican.
Paulo was brilliant as a host, very knowledgeable and helpful and we had a great trip and totally worth the money
Only negative was the officious Guards in the Sistine Chapel who were more like traffic wardens hurrying everyone along, if it took all those years to paint, surely we can look at it for a few minutes....
Great trip, one to definitely go for if you have the budget, so glad we did

Dome climb is a lot of walking, but worth it!
Make sure you contact the Vatacan Excavations Office to request a tour of the Necropolis under the Vatican Crypt - you actually get to go UNDER the high altar, where St. Peter's ossuart is buried (you actually get to SEE the ossuary!). Its a separate tour, but the Viator tour + the Necropolis tour make for a ultimate experience.

We loved our tour of the Vatican! It was everything we had hoped it would be, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to our group the many details of this fascinating place! Would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Rome and looking to learn more about this truly historic area!
