Only my husband could somewhat understand our tour guide, whose English was very heavily accented. The rest of us just gave up and turned our mics off after a while. Also, the structure itself of the tour was very bad. They had us meet at the colosseum, then walked to the forum, then walked back to the coliseum. Rather than actually seeing anything in either the coliseum or forum, the guide held us back at the entrances, talking on and on, though what he said I couldn’t tell you.

Paid the tour to get priority in queues and save time. Instead we had to wait longer while tour guide had all tickets, instead of giving a ticket to each person and thus making things move faster. Also missed all the great spots to take photos and to appreciate the views and the actual sites in front of us and spend too much time talking about marbles and colours and pointless information. I can read all these things online, what I am expecting from the tour guide is to show me secrets and the best spots to enjoy the surroundings and to appreciate the things I see with my eyes. Perhaps the tour with another guide would be better, but our experience was not worth the money we paid for this tour

The tour was very informative with a friendly tour guide giving us all the necessary info and history and taking us to the best spots for views and photographs

Colosseum was beautiful but this was not the best tour. Took almost an hour to get in, and we had major technical difficulties with the headphones to where all of us could barely hear our guide the full time and understandably she could not project to everyone without them. Would have just done self guided tour next time

Raul was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and very patient with questions.
This tour spends most of its time in the Colosseum. The Palantine part is just the area overlooking the Roman Forum. You do not enter Domitian’s Palace, House of Augustus, etc. Most education on the Forum itself is cursory except for Temple of Venus and Rome and the Arch of Titus. So, if you want a tour geared toward the Forum and Palantine, I do not recommend. If you want a Colosseum-focused tour, this is very good. That being said, Raul was very knowledgeable about everything including questions about the Forum and Roman history not especially presented in the tour.
