Rome is a city that has built and rebuilt upon itself for thousands of years. Our Crypts, Bones & Catacombs tour is designed to take you deep down into the layers of Roman history, in order to uncover the spell-binding story of the city through the ages. We do so in the most dramatic way possible; by exploring the underground cemeteries and excavation that once housed many of the city’s dead and its most mysterious cult, a guaranteed thrill for adults and children alike.

My Girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this 3 hour Tour with our Tour Guide Sylvia. Sylvia spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable about the places she took us to and their history. She was passionate about the topics of which she spoke, which made our Tour fantastic. There were about 20 people total in our Tour Group. Sylvia first took us on a 30 minute walking Tour of a neighborhood in Rome that was around during the Black Plague. Then we all got on a small, air-conditioned bus and went to see the Catacombes under San Sebastián Church, which has the tomb of Saint Sebastian. The Tour ended with us visiting the Chapuchin Friar Crypts, which was both macabre and beautiful to see. This was a very fascinating and educational Tour thanks to our terrific Tour Guide Sylvia.

Seeing and learning about the early Christian burial routine was very interesting. It is amazing that the frescoes and other features have been so well preserved. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped put everything in context.

Very interesting tour, worth the visit. You find out it is not ghoulish but honors the dead. Great background given. Would suggest this tour.

The tour guide was wonderful! Transfers were easy. The chapel above the crypts was a cool extra. A little disappointing that the bone chapel was actually not underground but in a lit room in a church.

Guide was knowledgeable and did a good job. Seeing the catacombs was interesting and also it was cool to see the city walls on the ride out of the city. The bone crypt was not as expected. It is located in the city, and is not really in an underground crypt as I would have expected. Honestly, that part of the tour could be skipped.

It didn't happen, wrong information given, no guide there and no tour occurred. Still hoping to get money back. Not recommended

Disappointing in that for what is described as a three hour experience of catacombs is in reality only about 20 minutes in a catacomb, with the rest of the time spent in transit and in churches/chapels.
We did not go to the Bone Chapel, and there was no explanation.

Federico was an amazing guide! He told us the story of Rome that made what we saw so much more impact full. The catacombs and the bone crypt were an interesting combination of creepy and cool.
