WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Colosseum
This 2.5-hour guided tour with fast track access to the Colosseum through the Gladiators' Gate; our storytelling guide will take ancient history back to life. You will depart from our meeting point and you will receive personal headsets for a better listening to the guide. With this entrance you will access in the center of the Arena, have your camera ready to discover the Colosseum where Gladiators and wild beast did their combats. Access through the special Gladiator's Gate and take the chance to step into Arena stage where Gladiators used to join the fights!
2. Roman Forum
From this stage you will visit the ring that overlooks the underground areas of the Colosseum. While you take in the amazing view, your guides will share their knowledge about the history of Ancient Rome and of the Colosseum in particular. The guides are all licensed and have a degree either in Art History or Archaeology, and enrich their explanation adding amazing anecdotes about the Colosseum, its spectators, the fights between wild beasts and gladiators, and the lives of the powerful Emperors and politicians of the time.
3. Palatine Hill
Your tour of Ancient Rome will continue to the Palatine Hill, one of Rome’s seven hills. Here, emperors and wealthy families used to have their houses built, to enjoy the stunning view over the Roman Forum and Circus Maximum. Your group will then walk down the Palatine Hill and stroll among the ruins of the Roman Forum, an archaeological area that the guide will bring alive sharing more history and anecdotes about Ancient Rome. Our guides use overlay books and 3D pictures to show you how each column, temple and building used to look like at that time. You will understand what those ruins used to represent, linking them to the main characters and events of Ancient Rome’s history. At the end of the tour, you will return back to the starting point and from there can proceed with the rest of your day.

• Please Note: to access the Colosseum you need to add in your reservation the exact name and last name of all participants in your group and children need to be specified. In case of mistake in writing your name and last name in your reservation, if the Colosseum tickets controllers deny the access due to the wrong name and last name we decline any responsibility and NO REFUND will be provided.
• Small group tour will average 26 people
• Please note: by purchasing this tour you accept our Terms and Conditions and you are aware that not refund it will be given in case of not attending the tour or if you arrive late for the tour.
• Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Please make sure you bring comfortable shoes and a refillable plastic water bottle especially during hot weather!
• There might be a change in order of the itinerary due to security and ticket availability.
• Please note that due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not suitable for any persons with disabilities.
• Please show up at least 10 minutes before the tour to do the check in
• In summer time we suggest bringing a bottle of water. In summer time due to the heat the tour might last about 2 hours.
• Not allowed: Pets, weapons or sharp objects, oversized luggage, smoking, alcohol or drugs, sprays or aerosols, glassware, unaccompanied minors, electric wheelchairs
• Please note: in case of late arrival we inform you that you will lose your tour and no refund will be given for no show or for late arrival
• The entrance fee to the archaeological sites is 17 Euros for adults (23 Euros for the arena option), accompanied by a booking fee of 2 Euros. The additional amount covers services provided by experienced licensed guides, audio devices, booking fees and other tourist services. The aim is to promote transparency and ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown. In July and August, due to the heat, the duration of the tour is 2 hours. Please note that this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
• Meeting time is subject to change; if this occurs, you will receive a call or message from the activity provider. Please provide your correct phone number and country code.
• ID mandatory. Guests who show up without ID cannot be guaranteed entrance.
• The full names of all the participants in the booking is needed, incomplete information on the booking cannot be guaranteed entrance.

A lot of information given but maybe not in a very fun way… You could see the guy knew a lot of history but maybe he wasn’t the best communicator. It was difficult to get excited about what he was talking. Specially at the coliseum, it was quite boring as he took ages to talk about the same thing, for almost 30 minutes, standing always in the same spot (not even offering the group to sit down, despite having spaces behind us to do it). We never moved to other floors, it was all done on the same spot on the arena. (We did it later by our own).
The cherry on top was when he said something about being a society easy to manipulate (like the romans?) because we didn’t say anything when we were fooled with Covid and the fake vaccine (??)… anywayyyyyy!

Guide was excellent and brought history to life. Would highly recommend …but misrepresented it as vip and skip the lines. We lined up. A lot. And there was nothing vip about it. We were just another big group in a huge crowd.

Tour time got changed a couple of days before which is not ideal if you have other bookings. When booked it said it was 2.5hrs only ended up being 2hr. Felt very rushed. Guide spoke very fast and was difficult to understand. It was very busy, she didn’t wait for everyone to catch up before explaining what she was looking at. Therefore when you eventually got there she was on to the next thing.

Giana was wonderful! Happy, informative, and interactive. The tours are great and full of information, and walking, you'll be tired and ready to go by the end. You certainly get your money's worth. Compared to other tours, I was grateful to have Giana, who is such an energetic soul!

The Collesium is a must-see in Rome, and having a knowledgeable guide is also important. Our guide, Claudia, was very informative and entertaining as we walked the ancient Rome gardens and arena floor. I can highly recommend this tour!
