This tour was worth every penny. If you know nothing about roman culture or the colosseum this is the tour for you. I had a crash course in history completed by a true professional.

This was definitely worth the money. Had an awesome time seeing some hidden areas of the Coliseum as well as an extensive tour of the Roman Forum. If you could get Azzurra then I think you’ve hit the jackpot. She was the best and took great care of us.

Katie was an incredible guide with so much knowledge of everything we encountered. The black van was very nice for traveling. We booked for Sunday and unfortunately the coliseum overbooked the underground portion (due to an issue with bots) so they quickly accommodated us by changing our activity to Tuesday. Thankful it all worked out because underground is a really cool viewpoint. No upper tier viewing available since COVID due to renovations.

Luigi was the perfect tour guide. Being an archaeologist and having dug in the area provided great insight. His enthusiasm added to joy of the tour, really making it come to life. Super friendly and accommodating, would definitely recommend. Though it is expensive, worth it!

Eyes of Rome was recommended by our hotel, and we were not disappointed. Hotel transfer was on-time, friendly and comfortable. Our guide Rosalba was extremely knowledgable and engaging, and really understood how to pace the visit - not too rushed and not too slow. She provided a lot of interesting insights that were not covered by the guidebooks. Highly recommend the underground package - extremely few visitors at a time are allowed into the underground area (our group was less then 15) - you feel like your exploring the ruins alone, and frankly its the most interesting aspect of the coloseum - absolutely worth the extra money.

Great communication with the company throughout. Azure our private tour guide was very professional and despite the heat she was always accommodating and smiling all the time giving us very educational information of the sites we visited. We enjoyed our day with Azure.

Our group of 6 had a wonderful tour of the Colosseum and Pantheon by Azzurra Della Seta. She is brilliant, so patient, fun, and a beautiful spirit. She had us picked up at our hotel and everything went with such ease. The depth of her knowledge is mind blowing. When visiting Rome ask for Azzurra to be your tour guide.

We felt like we had the colosseum to ourselves with our guide. We had access through every closed path and door. Our tour guide was friendly and an expert to the ancient world. We didn’t know we got much more than just the colosseum but toured the emperor’s home, forum, gardens, and much more.

Marta, our guide from Eyes of Rome, was the best part of our trip! We initially booed two private tours with her (Colosseum/Forum and City Center walking tour) but before our first tour ended, I asked if we could book a third day with her in the Ghetto and Trastevere and she was happy to accommodate!
She is all-knowing. We asked Marta a thousand questions (both on and off topic) and she answered every one. At one point we walked into a church that wasn't on our route and asked about the paintings inside- she was able to give us a full history on the fly. She brought everything we saw to life for the adults and kids (14 and 10). Touring with Marta was the kids' favorite part of our trip and we all learned so much and had such a great time with her!
Marta also gave us two wonderful restaurant recommendations. Both places were phenomenal and some of the best meals we had in our two weeks.
My family cannot recommend Marta and Eyes of Rome more highly! Do yourself a favor and book as much time with her and you can manage.
When we go back we will absolutely be meeting with Marta again.

My wife and I spent 2 days with Katie, both the Colosseum and Vatican tours, and could not have been happier. When we scheduled our tours we asked for a guide with experience on the art around the city, and Katie definitely fulfilled that request. She was friendly, engaging and most importantly very knowledgeable.
The communication with the company was simple and the information they provided was specific and in-depth. The car services arrived on time and Katie always had a very specific agenda in mind so as to maximum our tour time.
Next time we are in one of the Italian cities that Eyes of Rome services we will use their services again, and will recommend the company to all our friends that visit Rome.
