The Music Legends Tour of London is your passport to visit some of the most famous rock landmarks in musical history.

The tour will take you to locations in London made famous by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, Marc Bolan and many more.

Your guide Stephen Channell is a veteran of the music business spending 25 years working for Warner Music and the BBC. Now a qualified London Black Cab driver no one knows the streets and rock history of London like Stephen does.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Abbey Road Studios
Have your photo taken on the world famous pedestrian crossing from the exact spot where the original photograph was taken for the Abbey Road cover shot. This means that your shot will look exactly the same as the album cover!! With the help of some incredible visual aids hear all the amazing stories surrounding this incredible studio and the part it played in the history of the worlds greatest rock band. Unfortunately there is no access to the studios however we will visit the Abbey Road Studios gift shop that sells a selection of fantastic official Beatles merchandise.
2. Chelsea
The Apartment where it all began. Visit the apartment where the Rolling Stones lived for 18 months ( 1962/63 ) at the start of their amazing career. With the aid of some incredible photographs I will show you that this apartment has hardly changed since Mick, Keith and Brian lived there nearly 60 years ago. Please note there is no access to the property,
3. Kensington High Street
Visit the house where Freddie Mercury spent the last 5 years of his life. Hear how he left his home and fortune to the only person he loved. Discover the twist in the tale that leaves so many unanswered questions. Please note there is no access to the property.
4. Holland Park
The Tower House Holland Park is the current home of Jimmy Page. Visit his amazing Gothic home and with the help of some incredible visual aids hear how Jimmy has painstakingly restored this Victorian Gothic masterpiece. Please note that Jimmy spends a lot of time at this property. I have met him on a few occasions outside his house and he trusts me not to disturb his privacy. There is no access to the property and we need to be respectful if he or his partner, family or friends should enter or exit the building.
5. Notting Hill
The Death Of Hendrix. Visit the apartment where on 18th September 1970 Jimi Hendrix drew his last breath. Was it an Accident ? Was it Suicide ? Or was he murdered ? You will hear all the evidence and then you can make your own mind up. Please note there is no access to the building
6. Piccadilly Circus
The Beatles last ever performance from the roof of The Apple Corporation HQ, 3 Saville Row, London W1. See where The Beatles played live for the very last time on the roof of their Apple Corporations HQ in the heart of London's West End. With the help of some fantastic visual aids hear how John Lennon waved goodbye to the band "Thanks for coming and I hope we passed the audition". This building is now an Abercrombie & Fitch store so there is access to the building but not the roof.
7. Regent Street
Where Ziggy played Guitar! See where David Bowie stood for the album cover shot of Ziggy Stardust. Since his death in 2016 this has become a shrine for Bowie fans from all over the world to pay their respects to the "Thin White Duke." There is an extra special surprise at this landmark which will amaze all Bowie fans.
8. Wardour Street
Trident Studios. Stand outside the legendary Trident Studios and feel the atmosphere created by a building that has produced many of the world's greatest recordings. It takes a considerable amount of time to recite all the amazing records that have been recorded here. From Major Tom to The Yellow Brick Road its a roll call you simply won't believe!
9. Soho
Please note that you can customise any Rock Cab Tour. Just let me know your favourite bands and artists and I will try my best to accommodate them. This is a great tour for any rock & roll music fan. Stephen puts everyrthing he has into his tour - great stories about music legends, visiting current & past homes of the biggest names in rock & roll history. Stephan has a great sense of humor and is not bashful about offering his opinions and any subject - a lot of fun to be with and learn from.

Steve was the BEST tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and he entertained us with so much rock trivia. Steve helped us take the best photos. The time flew by.

When you read the reviews for this tour you get the idea that Steve is a knowledgable, fun, capable, guide. He is! He was also part of the industry and has many personal anecdotes to share.

His cab is more like a limousine - spacious, very clean, very comfortable. The tour was filled with anecdotes and stops; I can recall next to no time just sitting in the cab, but what little time there was, was filled with Steve's advice for additional tours, best pub stops, and museum visits.

Steve is wonderfully engaging and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to get us to as many places as possible, and has definitely earned his taxi medallion. We had a blast with Steve and can’t recommend his Rock Cab Tour enough to music lovers worldwide.

What a fun tour! This was a great way to see the areas of music history in London. Our guide, Steve, was excellent and went above and beyond. Not only did he get the perfect Abbey Road picture for our family, he dropped us off in the area we needed to be for our afternoon pub tour. If you like music then this is the tour for you.

My wife and I had no idea what to expect on the Rock Cab Tour. We had an amazing experience.

To say Steve is both passionate and knowledgeable about classic and contemporary rock and roll is an understatement. He is incredibly organized and the pictures taken of us at Abbey Road and multiple other historic locations will be treasured forever.

Highlight of the tour: We caught a peak of the great Jimmy Page hopping in a taxi in front of his home! (I’m serious!)

I’m telling you this is the best tour ever!

Highly recommended! Steve is super knowledgeable about everything British rock!! My wife and I kicked off our honeymoon in London and Steve was super accommodating to our taste in bands such as, Queen, The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, David Bowie, and more. He also is a great photographer!

I highly recommend this tour. Steve is very knowledgeable and entertaining, as well as a nice guy. We hit many homes and businesses. He’s an expert at getting the Abbey Road crossing photos.

This was the best of our London tours. Steve is passionate about his subject and it shows. He is an encyclopedia of Rock facts and is super organized. He carries tons of pictures of people and events you've never seen before and used them with great effect to bring home the impact the people and places made in history. If your going to London and your interested in Rock history YOU Have TO TAKE THIS TOUR. I mentioned Warren Zevon and even though it wasn't in his tour he took it on him self to find the original location for Lee Ho Fooks restaurant in the song and we got pictures there. Steve is Rock and Roll. You need to do this
