Tafa and Giraffe Horizons delivered a great experience. We had booked this tour before discovering that our hotel was only a 5-10 minute walk to the ferry station. Tafa picked us up at the hotel, parked at the station and helped us through the crowds buying tickets. He brought us to front of the line and stayed with us until the ferry departure. While our ferry was delayed, Tafa stayed with us and we had an incredible discussion/education about the history of Robben Island, Mandela and South Africa as a whole. We will look to Giraffe Horizons on our next South African visit. They offer many other tours.

This was a great tour. Our driver was fun, punctual and caring. Robben Island was well organized and a sobering experience. Highly recommend this tour and driver.

Booked this trip and turned out to be a fantastic experience TAF picked us up at our hotel Onomo hotel on the green took us to VandA waterfront to catch the ferry to Robben Island he was great at explaining things as we had only arrived in the hotel that morning off a cruise ship he guided us to the ferry then on arrival back he met us at the clock tower this guy knows his stuff thank you TAF great trip

Loved this tour! Learned alot and visited Nelson Mandela’s jail cell. Tour guide, Tafa was very prompt, patient and super hospitable. I highly recommend him!

Overall it was a good tour. Very informative. Seeing the actual cell sizes was moving. It made the reality of the imprisoned life more real. It was also interesting to have a former political prisoner as a tour guide - to be able to bring first hand accounts to the tour.
