The trip was a great way to suck in the beauty of Maui , great stops, and excellent tour guide ( Travis ) !
Company confirmed all detail the day prior for pick up etc, Travis arrived couple minutes early for pick up, then we headed off to picturesque spot for light breakfast, tour ride was excellent and small group setting was just right.

Lots of history, local music and culture both seen and talked about.

Numerous waterfalls, one lane bridges, local stops ( banana bread , shaved ice, small market in Hana, black sand beach, lunch and more spots for pictures ! )

Let's not forget the Turtles on the beach for an ending ! Way to end it !

Great tour company with even better tour guide Travis or as we renamed LARRY to continue on with his outgoing playfulness.

If you're looking for interaction, fun time, full of information and beautiful locations ? Book with them and definitely ask for Travis for a tour guide

This was the BEST Road to Hana tour I have ever experienced. Our tour guide, Joe ("Uncle"), made the entire trip. He was wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind. A true local - you can really tell how much he cherished the island; on every stop the people greeted him with so much love. Groups were small and intimate, so we were able to make bonds with other travelers (8 people in total for ours). We felt like a little family going on a road trip with Grandpa! One of my favorite things was learning about the diverse plant life; there were so many trees and flowers I had never known to exist or had seen before. Breakfast and lunch were fresh, healthy, and delicious. Other memorable stops included Aunty Sandy's Famous Banana Bread, the black sand beach at Wai'anapanapa State Park, and the freshwater waterfall where we plunged into 60 degree water 🥶 If you are considering doing a Road to Hana tour while in Maui, I strongly encourage you to consider booking with Valley Isle Excursions. Excellence from beginning to end.

My husband and I totally enjoyed our day. Our guide, Charleston, was personable, humorous, and very well informed. We loved the music on the bus and all the photo ops. Breakfast was a the Maui Tropical Plantation...beautiful grounds and delicious food. Lunch at Auntie's was soooo good! I could have spent the whole afternoon in her flower garden.

Every stop on the tour was unique and amazing. This excursion was all we'd hoped for and then some. Highly recommend!

Daniel, our tour guide was fantastic. He could not have been more patient, kind, friendly, or informative. He helped make the entire day fantastic.

I traveled solo from Boston and had a nice group of people on the tour with me. We had a beautiful outdoor continental breakfast together after being picked up from our perspective hotels.

It is a full 12+ hour day but you see a lot. The black sand beach is beautiful but so is the surrounding ocean. So many photo ops. The road to Hana is a crazy drive so you will be glad you took a tour so you can see the beauty of it.

We had a nice outside with salad, macaroni salad, chicken, rice, and drinks.

Daniel even managed to squeeze in an extra stop so we could see the giant sea turtles on the beach! He really went above and beyond. Definitely a memorable experience.

Plan for a long and spectacular day. We were picked up at our hotel right on time returned safe & sound at the end of the day. Every stop was incredible. The breakfast and lunch were very tasty. And our guide Daniel “Jersey Boy” Fisher was funny, professional, and he told us some very entertaining stories.

I can’t express strongly enough that you do NOT want to drive the Hāna Road. It’s treacherously narrow and winding and you will miss the views, trying to not crash. Plus, you will have no idea what you are looking at.

So, take the most excellent tour with Valley Isle and you will be glad you did.

The excursion on the Road to Hana is a must do! Request Travis as your driver, he’s a local guy who lived in Hana, knows its history and is well versed in the history of Hawaii and its culture; plus he’s fun to be with. He knows how to bring a group of strangers together, on a bus tour and they become “Ohana!”
The road has 54 one lane bridges and too many hairpin curbs to count. Be sure to look for waterfalls big and small and the black “diamond head snake.” Be sure to stop at Aunt Sandy’s Banana Bread, buy some it’s fresh and wonderful and very tasty. Enjoyed the black sand beach and swimming in the fresh water, waterfall. Our day is a trip to remember and Travis completed it with a peek at beached sea turtles and a winding down music selection of Somewhere Over the Rainbow 🌈.
