Road to Hana Tour - Best of Maui

We had an amazing adventure, exploring the rain forest along our road to Hana tour! Mike picked us up from our hotel and we immediately started our journey. He asked us about our expectations and what we hoped to see. What we really liked was that Mike heard us and individualized our experience. That is why a private tour is so worth it. Mike explained the history of the road to Hana in terms of Hawaiian culture as well as the magic of a rain forest. More than just trees, the rain forest is a sustaining ecosystem. It is self-sustaining while it nourishes those who live in it. We especially appreciated Mike's vast knowledge of the trees and plants and got to experience how to live off of the land in this magical rain forest. We stopped frequently so that Mike could show us unique plants, trees (such as the rainbow eucalyptus) and their fruits (papayas, pink bananas, mangoes, strawberry guava and many more). We were able to sample these. Citrus was in season and we had oranges (with permission from Uncle) right off of the tree. The waterfalls were spectacular (and we even swam in one). We stopped at Halfway to Hana and were treated to homemade banana bread. Mike kept drinks for us in the van as well. We stopped at a black sand beach and other beautiful beaches. Mike captured our adventure on GoPro (which we received the chip from at the end of the trip). We liked how he also interacted with people we met along the Road to Hana. He offered to take photos at spectacular spots
for them when he saw them struggling. We thought that was special. We stopped at a chocolate makers to sample and purchase local chocolate and tea. In Hana, Mike identified our interest in health care and showed us where residents receive health care. In Hana, we were treated to succulent barbecue ribs at Braddah Hutts BBQ Grill. The ribs were fall off of the bone perfect and the owners so welcoming. Mike embodied the spirit of 'Ohana. He shared how he is tied to the land and the people of Maui, doing his best to support friends following the devastating fire in Lahaina. Mike truly loves his island home and was proud to share its culture and beauty with us. Thank you for an unforgettable trip, Mike! Mike was a excellent guide and we felt like family.! He was very knowledgeable and showed us all the important sights. He did a great job taking pictures and videos with the Go Pro and many with our phones.! Highly recommend this trip and Mike for Sure.! Thank You!

Absolutely wonder time! Mike our guide is the Best Ever! I learned so much about Hawaii and saw so many amazing things. I saw the ohana way in action with the people we met along the way- completely worth it- the highlight of our trip! Mahalo

This was definitely a ride to remember! All the waterfalls and the beautiful plants trees flowers were amazing! Everything was so pretty! Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable about the island and funny! He made sure we had a good time!

Went with a group of friends to Maui for a few weeks during the holidays. We decided to book with epic Maui because of their good reviews their status with trip advisor and just a great intuitive hit! When our tour guide texted us saying he was Jonathan and looking forward to the adventure with us we started really stirring with excitement! We’d read all the great reviews about him but now we get to have a taste! This guy really isn’t a let down! He shows up and goes above and beyond! Very knowledgeable and fit in just like an old friend! Tons of jokes woven all in between ! The best part he showed us all these cool spot on hana that we would’ve never been able to see without a guide so knowledgeable like him! We really loved how he pushed our limits and comfort zones and encouraged each of us to grow into new parts of our selves! None of us will ever be the same after the adventure with Jonathan down the road to Hana! He’s also a very skilled driver the road looked super dangerous but he tackled it with bravery and courage! Truly this experience may have changed my life and it certainly was the best part of our entire vacation! Thank you all so much ! I love MAUI! Mauiiiiiiiii

One of the most incredible family experience we've ever had!! Jonathan was an amazing tour guide, giving us the adventure we asked for and going beyond. The places we visited were some of the most beautiful views on Maui, some being its hidden gems.

Thank you Johnathan for your knowledge, patience with the kids and thrill to adventure.

Last but not least, we survived Johnathan's Adventure!!!

We loved out private tour of Road to Hana. Adan was a great guide and enjoyed the day with us. He took us to less busy/touristy sites when available which we really appreciated. Our highlights were: swimming at Ke’Anae, waterfall hike and swim, and red beach.

Our tour guide Justin is a wealth of knowledge everything from history of Hawaii to trees, flowers, secret waterfalls. We had an amazing tour highly recommended. Oh and if you get motion sickness pack your dramamine. Aloha!
