Early pick up due to distance to travel today.
Picked up and dropped off to hotel.
Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Visited all the places included in the tour however Was a bit disappointed to find out on the way, that if we wanted to take the jetboat ride to the first bridge it was 300Baht each and if we wanted to be guaranteed a seat in the train for the 1hr 40min ride it was another 300Baht each. This should have been included in the price or otherwise state this in exclusion list.
Was disappointed that we were seated on the right side of the train and missed out on photos of the train going over the bridge over the river Kwai before our final stop. Tip try to sit on left side .
The bus was a bit tired and air conditioner wasn’t cooling well.
Lunch was a nice buffet lunch. Plenty of time to walk over the train lines and bridges and photo opportunities.
Still recommended tour just be aware of extra costs on the day to bring extra cash.

My guide, Mr. Rach, is a very nice person. My trip is great, for a history lover this trip is a must. I got picked up from my hostel and when the tour was finished they brought me back to the hostel again. Don't worry about the meeting point, the guide will message you and ask where you want to get picked up. Thank you again, Mr. Rach.

Our tour guide, Nina, was very informative about all aspects of the tour. She explained the war, the cemetery, the hospital and the train. Also, the lunch buffet was really tasty. 👌 The ride was nice. The time alloted for the tour was prefect.

An unforgettable day! The facts, as they happened! Visit the cemetery where the bodies of US, British, Australian and Dutch soldiers rest.
A visit to the museum: display cases with objects that belonged to prisoners and their guards, reproduction of a prisoner barracks with photos and drawings (made by survivors or by Thais who saw what was happening in the camps) . The suffering endured by prisoners of war is terrible, horrible!
The passage over the famous bridge as well as the train journey in the Thai countryside are unforgettable memories!

The guide that was assigned to our group was Mr Rach. He was very helpful throughout the tour and made effort to explain the history of the places we visited.

The highlight of course was the Bridge on the River Kwai and the train ride on the death railway. Other than that, the Jeath war museum is very run down. The exhibits were in poor condition and photos were copies made. It could have been better curated, but probably due to budget limitations. I didn't mind payment 300B$ extra for the long tail boat ride which was fun. Also another 300B$ to secure a seat on train ride that was over an hour. The lunch buffet was acceptable.

Personally I felt that there should be more time given at stop points in places of interest. The group was given only 10 mins at Bridge of the River Kwai area before we had to move on. Also, the ride in the van was not so comfortable. Bear in mind that the trip each way out of Bangkok was over 3 hours. Overall, the trip was an experience and great for those who appreciate history. If you are spending many days in Thailand and have the time to spare, this tour can be recommended. Just need to manage your expectations and the day will be fine.
