It was a lot of fun (yet it is not very cheap). Be ready to read along your visit, otherwise you will miss a lot of the interesting facts. The actual ride is about 5 min and it is at the end of the visit. It is very amusing but you may want to avoid it if you have severe freight of heights or if you suffer easily from motion sickness.

We went because it was part of our New York pass. There were several aspects that were well done. The exhibits were solid. Theming at the beginning was good but the “show” aspects were quite lacking.
The “on TV” bit was constantly interrupted by employees walking in front of the screen and then new people joining so they could get us on the ride.
The ride was interesting but the video had several unnecessary jump scares that could have flowed better.
Would only recommend if you have it included in a pass.

A good option if you're having a bad weather day and visibility is poor to do any of the skyscrapers. If you've ever been to Epcot in Florida and have done Soaring then this is of a similar nature. Wish it had been a bit longer, although the walk through the events and time lines of New York before you actually get on the ride itself are quite interesting also.

Great history of NYC and the flight has great views. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything runs on time. Walk through part has lots to see and the movie and broadway part is great.

Rise NY was a unique experience in the heart of NY that was a surprisingly simple amusement. The staff was organized and courteous. The ride was the highlight of the young people and I happened to be joined by a group of rowdy overly excited teens on a field trip. They only cared about the ride none of the wonderful history they strolled right through along with their chaperone. I may have been the hold up observing and enjoying every room! LOL oh well. I recommend this highly, however, short people or kids under 40 inches cannot go on the ride, unfortunately.

The VR ride at the end was great fun but the history exhibitions one has to pass through before getting to it were dull and unimaginative. Fortunately, I went early so I wasn't held up by crowds of people and could get through quickly. An expensive 40 minutes!

From the start, the experience was jammed packed with historical events and stories presented in the most unique ways. My eleven year old loved every moment as we took our time and absorbed every room.
