Would not recommend to get a trip with Nexus tours. Booked for 11 May 2024 at 8:35am to pick us up at the hotel in Cancun. Waited for an hour. Pick up driver didn’t show up. Called them via our concierge. First they claimed we didn’t show up (we were in front of our lobby the whole time) but after going back and forward they rescheduled us for the next day. On 12 May again the pick up driver didn’t show up. Called them. They claimed again that the pick up driver was at the hotel and send pictures of it via email. They just send pictures of a completely different hotel. Our concierge called them for an hour explaining they were at the wrong hotel. At the end we lost many hours waiting, but I got a full refund via Viator. I need to thank our excellent hotel concierge at the Cancun Marriott Resort to go the extra mile with these scammers. @Viator: please remove your tours with Nexus Tours from your website. You will help a lot of people.

We had an amazing time, Teresa G. Our Nexus agent, was very knowledgeable and recommended 3 excursions for that were excellent. She listened to what we were interested in and went from there.

On the recommendation of Nexus Tours representative Luis Hernandez, my friend and I took the Rio Secreto tour. The day was perfect. The shuttle was punctual and we had an extraordinary experience. We loved everything about it: jungle biking, abseiling and visiting the majestic caves. An unforgettable moment that we'll keep in our hearts forever. After a hearty meal, we rounded off the day with a visit to the archaeological site of Tulum. A worthwhile detour. I highly recommend this day of activities if you're in the area.

Different experience that push us to our limits. Not easy to swim/walk carefully on the cave full of stalactites and stalagmites but happy that we did it.

Luis Hernandez was the representative who took the time to explain the multiple different tours and options we had. We ended up going with one of his top recommendations and were extremely pleased with the beauty of the caves, the organizations of the team working at the sites and the knowledge of our guide Hector. The overall experience was one that we will remember and cherish for years to come.
Our expectations were exceeded with:
1. The organization of the many teams working together. There were multiple groups and not once did we feel in the way or held back by any of the other groups, the entire experience flowed really smoothly.
2. Most of the equipment used was in excellent condition, especially the rappelling equipment (which was nice). The teams were extremely professional and knowledgeable and always ensured everyone was safe during the more adventurous parts of the tour.
3. The experience of being in the caves was incredible, the care and attention for the preservation and respect of the Mayan sacred caves was very nice to see. The awe inspiring experience of being in the caves is unparalleled, we would go back just to revisit that feeling once again.
The only things which could have made the trip better are:
1. The bikes for the short ride were in quite bad condition, I would recommend replacing them and maintaining with proper lubrication due to the sea and humidity.
2. You cannot take any pictures of the caves which is okay, but we found the photo package was quite pricey (130 US) more than the cost of the tour itself for 1 person.
3. We reached the restaurant at nearly 3PM after walking, biking, repelling and swimming for several hours and we were a bit disappointed with quality of the food, exception being the hot sauces.
Overall, we would strongly recommend visiting the Rio Secreto. Again, a big thanks to both Luis and Hector.

I love the human interaction
I also had a great time at the dolphins but wish they would have given me more information before starting the dolphin swim. The instructor could have spoken better English.
Had a great experience with Ricardo at Rio Secreto. He was very helpful throughout the tour. He allowed me to hold on to him throughout the tour and I felf very safe with him. If it was not for him I don't think I could have finished the tour without him.

Our Experience was amazing. My 7 year old son also had lots of fun there. Even for non swimmers, Rio Secreto is lot of fun. We can complete all the activities.
