On this tour you will go to the Tenorio Volcano National Park. In this park you will witness the rare phenomena of the blue river. The hike itself is medium tough and takes about 4 hours. It takes you to the stunningly beautiful waterfall, a high lookout point and the place where you can see the river change color. After the hike you will enjoy lunch and have some free time to take a quick dip in the river before heading back to La Fortuna.

Had an amazing day on this tour. Our guide Santiago and driver Martha went above and beyond to make our day special. We would never have spotted all the wildlife without Santiago and his fab camera skills. He even offered to send us his professional pictures at the end of the tour. 100% would recommend this tour.

This was an amazing tour. Our guide Santiago was able to spot a baby cayman, a sloth, and a toucan before we got to the national park. Santiago was very enthusiastic about the wildlife and the history of the Rio Celeste, I have CP which made certain parts hard for me. But Santiago went beyond what was required to help me through the difficult parts to ensure I was able to see everything. There are so many spots to see the Rio Celeste and view of the volcano. There is 260 stairs up and down to the waterfall and uneven terrain. I recommend hiking boots, After the hike we lunch and an option to swim but our group was tired to swim. I greatly appreciate Santiago’s help and patience and made the experience a memorable one. If you go to Rio Celeste please go through Red Lava TSC and request Santiago. It is a beautiful place to visit.

I’m glad I did this hike with this tour group. Santiago has a great eye for spotting all of the forest creatures! He made sure everyone in the group was okay and has great knowledge of this area. He keeps an uplifting vibe with his humor. Great day and adventure.
The reason i had to minus a star was because the van was just hot and uncomfortable. Maybe fix the vans or get new ones. It’s about 3 hours in that van round trip.

Great day trip, this tour was definitely great with a guide. I don't usually use guides but this one was so worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and able to shows us a lot of wildlife.

Our guide Santiago was great! He was able to spot so much wildlife for us, in the park we saw several snakes and birds and outside the park we saw a poison frog and a sloth! The hike was good and the water was beautiful.
The only downside for us was that we were the first on the tour picked up and last dropped off so that added a lot of bus time. If you aren’t in central La fortuna, I’d recommend just driving in and meeting at the office.

With our guide Juan Antonio we had an incredible experience. A passionate, exciting, knowledgeable, entertaining and generous guide. We were able to observe several animals, reptiles, birds and others. And what about the river (its color) and its environment. Really amazing. On the way back, we made several impromptu stops to observe monkeys, caimals and great blue herons. And as a bonus, a sloth across the road that we were able to observe and photograph for several minutes. In short, what a memorable experience! We recommend this activity without any hesitation. Thanks to our gui Juan Antonio and the driver who drove us carefully.

Santiago and Olivier were amazing!!!! Told Santiago I came to Costa Rica to see a wild Sloth and within less than 30 minutes he found one!! And when my wife got sick Santiago and Olivier were extremely helpful in helping us. Highly recommend the excursion
