Kristel our guide was excellent, very informative and helpful with background knowledge. She made our hike very enjoyable and went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience. The icing on the cake was our driver Stephen spotting a 3 toed sloth and it’s baby up a tree on our journey back to the hotel. Kristel kindly shared her photos with us after the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour and guide.

The Rio Celeste hike was one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide's name was Roy and we went on this tour after spending a whole morning with him the day before, on another tour. Roy was an experienced and knowledgeable local guide on a lot of different topics. He was exceptional on explaining things about the fauna, flora, history and geology of the area. He spoke fluent English and drove us around carefully and safely. He would often stop on places of interest or if he spotted some of the local fauna. We saw a lot of animals in the wild, thanks to him, including a mummy sloth with a baby which was a remarkable experience.
Rio Celeste was beautiful. The water was clear and blue. The hike itself was not too difficult, although the stairs to and back from the waterfall can be a bit challenging. Lunch was delicious. We recommend this tour!

The Rio Celeste waterfall was the highlight of the trip! Our tour guide's name was Roy, and he was courteous and extremely knowledgeable of the area. He was on time to pick us up at our hotel and drove us to the park. Prior to beginning the hike, Roy stopped at the restaurant where we were having lunch so we could place our order in advance. The roads in Costa Rica can be a little sketchy at times but Roy was an excellent driver, taking extra precaution while navigating the terrain. We never felt unsafe in his care.

Roy has the ideal personality for a tour guide and you can tell he enjoys his job. He took pictures for us whenever we asked and was paying attention to the landscape, spotting wildlife and opportunities for photography both during the drive and while hiking the trail.

I would highly recommend this excursion for anyone visiting the area. It's ideal for all visitors, whether you are traveling by yourself, with friends, or with your family.
