Informative and funny walking tour around Reykjavik in a small group. Famous landmarks are visited, history of the city is brought to life and you are introduced to local culture. The tour starts on the highest elevated point in town, is wheelchair accessible and all downhill, also ideal for children. The small size of the group makes it flexible for stops indoors in cold weather and the lengthy tour makes it relaxed as if you are with a new Icelandic friend. Please note we change the route sometimes due to weather.

Our guide Davúr was really nice and answered patiently the most odd questions we made him. Also, he seemed to be enjoying the tour as much as we did, and that kind of feeling makes all the diference :)

Really interesting walk. We learned lots about Reykjavík, past and present. Our guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The walk also gave us more ideas on where to explore in the city. I would highly recommend.

Mauricio was exceptional. Gave us a perspective from a non-native Icelander about the Icelandic culture and language.

Super! Family of 2 adults, 21 and 18 year old, all enjoyed it. Tómas was engaging and informative. A great tour showing and telling us about places in th centre we probably wouldn't have found out about. A good focus on the history - ancient and modern - of Iceland. We tried the recommended hotdog stall a day later and it was good!

We left it very late to book a City Walk Tour of Reykjavik. In fact we sent the email about 8:30 in the morning and were on the tour at 10:30 - great decision to do this.
Our guide was Asta who was fantastic. She gave us all of the history of the City and locations we visited but was also very funny and made the tour very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it as a way to get a good overview of the City and history.
Note: We booked the free tour but this was not listed on here. Obviously you pay the guide at the end based on your experience.
