If you do a food tour in Reykjavik, don't you want to try out the truly authentic food from Iceland?
With our selection of local foodie treats you can check off a lot of things on your Icelandic food bucket list and you sure won't be disappointed with the quality of the restaurants we handpicked. The only bad thing on this tour is the fermented shark but hey, its an adventure and what does not kill you makes you stronger and cooler back home.
One of the best things about doing a food tour is getting a sense of the history of the country while eating something delicious & interesting. All of our guides are experts and graduates from the tour guide school of Iceland but more importantly, they know how to entertain and educate at the same time.
Our stops are handpicked and offer traditional Icelandic food. Make sure you arrive hungry!
We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions & allergies.

Wish we had done this tour on our first day in Reykjavík as it was a fantastic introduction to the food culture and spots in town. Great food and venues all brought together by a really fun and knowledgeable guide.

Knowledgeable guide about the food scene in the area as well as the history. Very engaging, and friendly. Not all the food choices were for me! Although I tried most of it, hotdog was the best! I would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a very tasty tour and very informative! We learned some Icelandic history as we walked from location to location. We had a good variety of tastings without getting filled up! I’ve got knee problems but found the walking distance easy and the pace was fine. Our tour guide was friendly and helpful.

Ester E. Was our guide. I absolutely loved that she was a native Icelander and knew all about everything Iceland. Not just food. We chose to do this on our first day. It was a great way to get acclimated to the city. It was Christmas Eve and we still experienced the foods you would on a normal day. Try the shark!

Amazing way to end our first full day! A Ton of Food, and some truly amazing stories on Icelandic culture as well as the understanding and importance behind the food. 5 of us tried the shark… do it! You wont regret it! Even our teen was engaged and an adventurous eater.

Oli, our guide, was so wonderful. He was so friendly and provided so much information. Each stop was great - the lobster soup was my favorite. Since it was near Christmas, our last stop was a sample of a Christmas buffet. Our group was small, which made it more personal and enjoyable. I highly recommend this as a way to try great food and learn about Iceland.

This is a must do for anyone visiting Reykjavik! Our guide, Bo, took us to such a lovely variety of places where we tried a wide range of local cuisines - including shark! Wish we had started with this as we got a nice walking tour of the city and some great details of places to go and history on Reykjavik. Truly was a highlight for us and the photos Bo took of the group are memories we’ll have forever.
