Raft 9 miles (14.5 kilometers) down the Balsa River with more than 30 continuous rapids, while leaving plenty of time for swimming and eating Costa Rican fruits.
Afterwards, your guide rewards you with water, towels and takes you to lunch at a local restaurant in La Fortuna. Rio La Balsa is also surrounded by lush vegetation, giving you the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife during the tour, including sloths, iguanas, toucans and monkeys.

I had great fun, the crew is very friendly and in a super mood. Drinks are tasty and included. You can enjoy the sun, have some fun in the water and have a good time on the boot. It is for families, people who travel alone or groups, everybody can join.

We had a great time on the Iguana catamaran. Allan was an excellent host and spoke English very well. We cruised offshore around the smaller islands, had some drinks, and soaked up the sun. They even cast a rod for me out back to fish, but alas no mackerel. We stopped for 1/2 hour to snorkel in one of the coves which was fun and easy for the kids. The boat has a big slide out the back that was fun for the kids and adults. The biggest surprise was great cooked lunch. Big thanks to Captain Carlos for a smooth ride! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience on our afternoon catamaran tour! Josue and the rest of the crew were so attentive and helped us with everything and made it so fun! When we mentioned we wanted to see dolphins, they took us out and searched for all the signs of them until we found many dolphins, so close to our boat. The crew was so excited for us to see them! Also, the Costa Rican food made by the chef on the boat was some of the best I had my whole trip. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Looking to avoid the large noisy open-bar party boats, and enjoy a more personal experience?
The staff at Iguana Tours took great care of us; from our pick up at our hotel, to our fun-filled morning out on the water. Our host Alex was very attentive, checking on the guests personally, making sure we were having a good time, had a cool drink in hand, and were well fed. We were also impressed that they used reusable cups, plates and cutlery, instead of single-use.
We anchored at Biesanz Beach, and slid down the water slide and jumped off the upper deck into the ocean. So much fun!
We would definitely do this tour again, and bring our friends or family along.
