The whole trip and the tour guides were amazing! I definitely recommend walking the Hooker Valley Track - a lot of stunning views. However it would have been nice to have more time at Lake Tekapo and Church of the Good Shepherd. We only had 10mins to take a quick photo which flt a bit rushed.

This is a great way to transfer between Christchurch and Queenstown. Several little stops on the way to Mt Cook with good opportunities for photos. I do wish we had a bit more time during those stops, but the day was already rather long. Diana and Chris were engaging and friendly while providing good commentary. A bagged lunch was provided and eating it at Mt. Cook National Park cannot be beat. I did two of the shorter walks to the Tasman Glacier (above and below) which are doable in about an hour if you're a quick walker. Highly recommend this tour.

Had a great day, Sarah first leg to Mt Cook, and Diane for 2nd leg to Christchurch. Both great and informative drivers. Had a little bus trouble on 2nd leg but Diane was amazing and sorted out quickly. Great views and quite cold.

Booked this one-way transfer in August for a November trip. In Oct they messaged me up to say the tour bus was full and they couldn't accommodate me on the date I had confirmed with them.

Yes, I had already confirmed with them in August and presumed that meant my seat was booked, making hotel and flight reservations around that. So, with quite short notice I'm now scrounging last minute to find my way to CHC so I can finish my trip and fly out of the country on time.

If nothing else, I want others to know this happened so they can consider it when they are planning this trip as a means of transport. If you are depending on it, which I was, they may leave you high and dry.

My Cook was the most beautiful of all my travels so far. Shane the driver on the first half of the trip was absolutely wonderful.

Nice tour to transfer from Queenstown to Christchurch!! The ultimate alpine experience was cancelled and refunded due to bad weather, but still a great tour! The tour guides are very helpful, friendly and considerate. Highly recommend this tour??

First off, I had a changeover of driver/bus at Mount Cook with both doing return journeys half-way…each driver was attentive, accommodating, and informative.
Leaving early made for a gorgeous sunrise mixed with early fog. Several stops were made along the way for happy snaps, as well as coffee/toilet breaks.
The scenery is breathtaking. The bus was catering for passengers doing heli-flights to the Tasman Glacier and walks through the Hooker Valley. I then changed buses for the 2nd leg from Mount Cook to Christchurch via Lake Tekapo, another stunning site.
After a long day, starting with a 6:30am pickup, I was delivered to the front door of my hotel

I did this one-day tour from Queenstown to Christchurch via Mount Cook. This seems to be the only day tour option without having to go back to city of origin, so it was quite expensive. It was with Cheeky Kiwi from Queenstown to Mount Cook, and I was transferred to Cheeky Kea from Mount Cook to Christchurch.

I think it could be organized better.

1. There were only three photo stops along the way. There was no stop to take photo of Lake Pukaki. I think it was a real shame. Though Cheeky Kiwi did have one from Mount Cook back to Queenstown. Those of us went to Christchurch with Cheeky Kea unfortunately didn't have it.

2. The time at Mount Cook was not enough. When I booked the tour, I was told there would be four hours there. It was actually slightly over three hours, which was quite tight for Hooker Valley Track.

3. The guides were not as engaging as the ones in the other tours I had in NZ.

For the high price of this tour, I think they should have done much better.
