My husband and I took our two kids to do this cooking class today and had the best time! Christopher was a fantastic guide, and had so much to share with us about the farm, local culture and history. We really enjoyed harvesting the ingredients for our dinner on the farm with Christopher as he shared his knowledge about the plants and animals that we saw. Nino guided us through our cooking experience and was extremely kind and engaging with our kids. They learned a lot and were completely engaged. My husband and I loved preparing the meal together too. We made a lovely dinner from the produce we collected on the property. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. Lastly, our driver Willie waited the entire time and made us feel very safe. 10/10! Highly recommend!

Excellent hands-on cooking class. Pick-up was on time. Christopher our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable. Cooked chicken w annato sauce, delicious. Learned how to cut the chicken properly. Wear shoes not flip-flops as red ants will bite you when you’re at the farm gathering vegetables. Only one disappointment: No dessert or sweets after my meal! We did however get a shot of liqueur during our cooking, and believe me, preparing a meal is very hard work. Mucho trabajo!!

Was the perfect activity for the first day of our honeymoon. Our guide, Jason, was beyond incredible.
We got picked up in town and taken to their private farm, where we went into the field and picked all the vegetable ingredients for our meal. We picked limes, peppers, yucca, oregano and sweet potato.
He was good to teach us a lot about costa rica and the farming industry.
We then went back to a small outdoor kitchen and made pico de gallo from scratch, toasted the basil, and sweet potato, yucca and plantain chips. Then we made a sauce for the chicken. The chefs taught us how to cut the chicken and we put that on to cook as well. Lastly we made fresh palm tortillas which grilled on the stove as well.
After everything was made, we got to sit down and enjoy the meal in addition to some rice, salad and fresh fruit juice. It was an incredible experience and we are so glad we did it.

One of the best experiences of our 8-day trip to Costa Rica. The food was amazing!! We were so excited to learn more about the vegetables grown in Costa Rica and the uses of those foods. In addition to the delicious chicken meal we made, I learned to make tortillas!! Can't wait to cook this meal for my family! Our guide was great and the chef was really sweet.

This was a true cooking experience. From picking the vegetables on the farm to cooking a delicious meal. Our tour guide Jose was so knowledgeable and spoke English very well. I’m vegan (my husband is not) and the chef happily accommodated my diet. The food was delicious! This was one of our favorite tours!!!

This experience was like no other! We really enjoyed David taking us through the farm to pick our own food and then Grandma Christina showing us how to cook a traditional meal.

Such a fun experience! The food was amazing and it was so fun to cook what we had picked from the land. The ladies teaching us were very talented and we ate a lot of good food. It was also great that we did this experience with another super fun family who welcomed us into their group!

It was raining so we didn't get to harvest the vegetables but we still had a great time. Nelson was our guide and we loved him. He was knowledgeable and kind. The dinner was amazing as well as the experience of helping make the dinner.

This was one of the coolest experiences we did on our trip! Getting into the kitchen and making a traditional Costa Rican meal was a very fun time. We made chicken on annato sauce with rice, plantains and yuca chips. It was probably the best food we ate all week.

Highly recommend if you love cooking. Even if you don't cook much, the chef was extremely helpful in teaching us how to do everything.
