Puffins leave Iceland in Autumn and head to other places for the northern winter. Very few puffins were seen on this cruise except internet photographs in a plastic folder! This was truly taking money under false pretences. Had I been warned about the annual migration of the Puffins and the likelihood of seeing so few, I would never have undertaken this tour in a small cramped boat. The guide actually advised us - once we left the quay- that the puffins had mostly departed 3-4 weeks earlier and there were just a few stragglers left. The tour operator should have shut down the cruises weeks earlier. A simple warning that there are a few Puffins left, but most have already migrated would give a tourist the opportunity to make that decision for themselves, before they pay for the cruise, not once they are on the boat hundreds of metres from shore. There are many other things to do in Reykjavik and most people are on limited time constraints, so this meant other tour options were not possible. No-one wants to be deceived and it gives a very poor impression of the ethics of Icelanders when this sort of behaviour occurs.

The guide, Ramona was excellent. He was funny and very knowledgeable. He was able to speak in many languages and was very patient with children.

Amazing experience with a thoroughly engaging captain and guide. We could not have asked for a more perfect morning. We saw plenty of puffins, but what made it an indelible experience. The captain and the guide gave us a unique experience, by sharing their enthusiasm for their work. They told lovely stories, and the captain even sang a sea shanty for us! I heartily recommend this tour.

We just made it in time to see the Puffins before they left the island. Most were in the sea. Efficient crew and knowledgeable guide. Boat was a little crowded. We enjoyed the sunny weather and the excursion.

It was cold as it was raining but it was a super trip and saw puffins on rocks and flying around. The guide was so knowledgeable and really fun. He helped us gain some insight to these lovely birds. I forgot his name unfortunately but we was great.

Good tour on time, pleasant knowledgeable crew and captain. Even though end of the season we saw Puffins and learned a lot about them. I would recommend this tour.

We had read some of the recent reviews about disappointment with not seeing puffins. We saw lots of them yesterday. Was a great cruise. Nice boat and nice staff.
