Sandy Bottoms offers personalized & boutique snorkel tours, island hopping, & sailing lessons to the offshore islands on the East Coast of Puerto Rico. Our tours are designed around you and your parties desires. Our boat holds a maximum of six passengers so that we may provide you with the best service and experience. Snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, and fun floats are included in this trip. We also provide a brief snorkel and paddle board lesson upon request.
Our philosophy is to share our love for sailing and the ocean with you. We adapt our daily schedules around you and your sailing, snorkeling goals.
All of our trips also include a large selection of appetizers including a gourmet cheese and fruit tray, guacamole, hummus, assorted snacks and cookies. Our Ship Bar is also open for your enjoyment. We offer rum, vodka, tequila, and white wine, along with a selection of organic juices, sodas, and drink mixers. Our local beer is also onboard.

Perfect for a bachelorette! Arturo and Kristy were so great and accommodating. Even when we lost a snorkel goggle, Arturo jumped into help find it. Definitely book for your trip, you won’t regret it!

Everything was amazing! We were surprised at how much food, drink and wonderful conversation we had. We anchored in a spot are saw an amazing reef with lots of fish, an incredible ship wreck and a sea turtle habitat. In addition to the plethora of fish, we saw a sting ray, sea urchins and dolphins! We could not have had a better time, it was AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful day.

We had an incredible day! We started our day with a spread of delicious fruit, coffee, and pastries in the boat, and then we sailed out to an island. We went snorkeling and swam around the boat once we got there. The drinks were delicious, the food was delicious, and we had great conversation with our hosts. Will 110% be booking this experience again if we make another trip. Everything was exactly as advertised, if they are available during your trip, it is a must.

Amazing experience! Arturo and Christy we’re so accommodating and good at what they do! We were very impressed by everything from the boat to the amenities, and the food. The drinks were great! They had all of the accessories to snorkel and have a great time. We felt very safe and looked after. They made a great team and the overall experience was 5 stars! Also if the captain is looking for a wife, I’m interested! LOL!!

The best time! Relaxing, everything g was well thought out and planned for. Certainly the best part of the trip! Wear a swimming shirt or your back will be fried. This is great for couples or families. We were able to swim/snorkel with manatees, sea turtles, sunken barges and lots of fish. The sail was smooth and relaxing.

My wife and I were greeted by the captain and his staff. We were welcomed with coffee, local pastries, fruit and mimosas! They were both so kind and allowed us the flexibility of going wherever we wanted after providing his recommendations based on conditions. There was zero pressure all day and they were so accommodating! We are definitely going again! Best excursion we have ever taken!

Katie and Arturo were so friendly. The boat was amazing and the trip and island were beautiful. We didn’t have to lift a finger, and the drinks/food were delicious. If you are considering it, definitely book, you won’t regret it. I honestly can’t say enough about the hospitality. They made us feel like we were long time friends! Katie was incredible with my son and so accommodating. Wonderful time for our family of 4! I’d do it again!

If I could give this experience 10 stars, I would. It was absolutely incredible. Captain Arturo made our trip so memorable and fantastic from the moment we met him. The boat is beautiful and spacious with a three bedroom cabin with restrooms, etc. They have it incredibly well stocked with a full bar, snacks, sea sickness medicine, snorkel gear, paddle boards, floats, etc. I booked this trip for my sister and our friend and I to have a fun, full-day adventure, and it was the best experience of our trip hands down.
First mate Christy made us drinks throughout the day, and our glasses were always full of AMAZING rum punch and homemade pineapple mimosas. When we got on the boat, they served us coffee and lovely pastries and fruit. At noon, Christy made a huge charcuterie spread with cheeses, salami, fruits, veggies, spreads, guacamole, hummus, dips, etc. It was all so delicious and filling. We got to snorkel with fish and sea turtles in this beautiful teal water. They have Bluetooth speakers on the boat so I could play music the whole day as well.
The sailing was fantastic too and we got to actually have the full experience of going out to an island (we went to Isla Palomino) and anchoring down, etc. Captain Arturo met us at the marina and walked us to the boat. He shared great stories of growing up in Puerto Rico and recommendations about other things to do on the island. After our excursion we had a lovely dinner at the marina restaurant which I highly recommend. I cannot wait to come back and do this tour again on our next trip. Katie and Captain Arturo are so professional and detailed with everything you will need to know before you go. I had researched a ton of other potential excursions and I am so glad I found this private, great option. It is a top notch experience and worth every single penny. BOOK THIS TRIP! You will not be disappointed!

So great to have only our family on the boat - they had a lovely spread of food when we arrived. Tour included Captain Aturo & kristy who were both attentive but not overbearing. When we anchored boat they had all snorkeling supplies & helped us get everything fired. We swam for a bit, then took a break on the boat with another great spread of appetizers & snacks & drinks. Then swam a bit more & headed back. Not only was it a fabulous day, but they were super flexible with us when we had to change the date last minute due to a sick child. Would highly recommend this tour!!
