1. Walled City of Cartagena
In our walking tours, we visit each important square, place, and street where we talk about its importance and history. It is said that there are cities that have their own soul and Cartagena de Indias is one of them. With its history and modest personality, the Walled City was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Travel with us through the beautiful and romantic streets and squares that are within the symbolic wall of the «Corralito de Piedra». In here, we will go through the conquest, the colony and the republic stages, that are mixed with the modernity of the XXI century. From its history, its magical and enchanting architecture you will learn about interesting battles with pirates and corsairs, the Indigenous and African influence comes from the Caribbean miscegenation, religious influence, our joyful musical culture and ravishing beauty of colors and aromas. Join us in this wonderful experience!
2. Camellon de los Martires
Our accredited tour guide will welcome you to this incredible experience and will verify your reservation. There he will locate you geographically, give you directions and introduce himself to start the tour. In the Camellón de Los Mártires - Plaza de Cervantes we will learn about the indigenous people who were before and during the arrival of the Spanish.

We move to the "Golden Key of Cartagena" or Clock Tower entering the Plaza del Ecuador, before the Plaza del Esclavo, a prelude to continue part of the enslavement route through Porto Carrero and Candilejo streets. But first, Pedro de Heredía welcomes us.
4. Monumento a Pedro de Heredia
Here you will learn about Miguel de Cervantes and his relationship with the city. Also, the importance of him in Colombian literature. Here you will learn more about the slave markets and the importance of the portal of the typical sweets of the city.
5. Portal de Los Dulces
We continue to the Portal de Los dulces, a symbol of female activity in times of slavery and that their descendants still continue their traditions.
6. Plaza de la Aduana
The process of commercialization of merchandise, including that of the enslaved, in the old "Plaza de la Aduana", has been historically important. Here we will see important buildings such as the Municipal Hall.
7. Museo de Arte Moderno de Cartagena de Indias
Of course, art is no stranger to the tour, the Museum of Modern Art, an exponent of Caribbean and Latin American art from the 50's, the Gold Museum opens its doors with samples of indigenous pieces from the Colombian Caribbean and the Emerald Museum, stones of beautiful considered the most beautiful in the world, worn by celebrities.
8. Plaza de San Pedro Claver
Religion is present with San Pedro Claver, Slave of the Slaves, we will see the Architecture of the Church and Museum-Monastery that bear his name and is the Headquarters of Human Rights.
9. Baluarte de San Ignacio
This bastion was built to defend the "Bay of Souls" from any pirate attack. On this tour we will see the history behind the walls of Cartagena.
10. Plaza de Bolivar
Do you like the feats of pirates and corsairs? We count them when visiting a Bastion, as a sample of Spanish military constructions and strategies, we continue to Plaza Bolívar, in homage to the precursor of Independence, a place to refresh ourselves.
11. Plaza de la Proclamacion
At this point we will find different places of interest. As: the palace of the inquisition, the passage where the beauty queens of our country are exhibited and the gold museum. Tickets to entrance to these places are not included during the tour, we will only refer to them within the scheme and topics of the tour.
12. Barrio Getsemani
Grafities, Culture, Music, customs, folklore, trade, architecture. We will enjoy one of the most important and colorful cultural corridors of Getsemaní, due to the umbrellas (symbol of the advertisement), the graffiti and the unique architecture.
13. Parque del Centenario
Do you know the sloths, the squirrels, the iguanas? You will see them in one of the most important Lungs of Cartagena, Centennial Park, former Railway Station, which is a relic of the Tropical Dry Forest where we refresh under the shade of beautiful trees.

Here we wil talk about Grafities, Café, Blas de Lezo, Gabriel García Marques, Mister Black, Joe Arroyo.
15. Plaza de La Trinidad
Finally, we enter the Callejón Ancho, to reach the end of the route along Calle San Juan to the sound of salsa and the African champeta; previously passing by the church and square of the Holy Trinity.

Our guide Alvaro kept the tour informative and fun - it was a good balance of history about Cartagena and teaching us about everyday life. The tour included the old town and Getsemani, including a stop at the emerald museum (The Mine) to learn about the emerald industry in Colombia. Alvaro speaks good English and customized the tour around the things we were interested in (coffee!). He was also great about making sure we stayed in the shade, which we appreciated :-)

Tour guide Legaxy was excellent! Very informative and friendly. We got to stop in an emerald museum/shop which was nice & he made recommendations for good restaurants in area to have lunch at after tour. Would highly recommend tour with him!

The walking tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide was very entertaining. My only complaint was that our guide took pictures of us saying that he would send them to us, but he never did. I would have taken my own pictures of these moments had I known.

Ask for Mercedes she did an excellent job. She knows her countries history, she prepared us when we first arrived rules to follow. She made sure we had a good time, we had our 5 yr old and she made sure she had a great time also. Mercedes took us to see baby monkeys, sloths etc. This was one of the best tours we have experienced. Trust me when I say you will enjoy the people and the culture!!
