Avoid the inconvenience of renting a car and maneuvering through unfamiliar country roads. With a personal driver/host , your tour becomes effortlessly smooth and stress-free.

Be Dutch for a day! A day full of windmills, cheese and traditional wooden clogs.

Covered with water, cows grazing the fresh grasses, colourful flowers and green-timbered houses, Zaanse Schans is home to what some call the Eighth Wonder of the World: the historic 18th-century windmills.

Everybody knows about cheese, but few know how it’s produced. Your private driver/host will take you to the place where the magic happens, where the Dutch dairy gold is crafted. You will visit a local cheese factory in the picturesque fisherman village of Volendam, where you will be taught about the cheese-making craft and enjoy a delicious cheese tasting.

With windmills and cheese on board, it’s unthinkable to skip the traditional wooden clogs in this tour.

We booked this tour expecting a tour guide. We have had tours with Viator and they were great. This person just drove us to the different sites and let us wander around. Then after the seaside town he said it will be $95 more to go to windmills. Then in route he says another $95 will be needed because windmill tour takes 2 hrs. And asked for parking fee at windmills. When we book tours we expect getting historical and cultural perspectives from the tour guide. Very dissatisfied with this guide.

Younes was the most incredible guide! He was kind, patient, and funny- among other things. He was prompt upon pickup and totally flexible on what we wanted to see. We love Amsterdam but have never been out to the countryside. This was a spectacular day. We started at the windmills. The scenery was gorgeous! We had perfect weather. Then to see clogs being made. nd off to the Henri Willig cheese farm. We got a private instruction on how they make the cheese. We saw cows being milked. Then we sampled MANY different kinds of gouda. We had some shipped home and we can't wait for it to get here. We LOVED this tour AND Younes!

One of the best tours we have taken in sometime. Ashi was our driver and picked us up on time in a lovely MB. He let us have as much time as we wanted and no rush! Wife and I loved this. Highly recommend him and this private tour. Worth the money….

It is the green wood houses typicially Dutch ...attracts many tourists to this village. Spotlessly clean, cluster of houses with windows decked with flowers in potted vases , a mediaeval Church and winding streets, can any visitor to fell in love with this little village. There is a Museum right in the entrance to the village which also demonstrates manufacturin g of clog shoes. Displays within the shop also sells shoes and souvenir clogs to tourists. Items could be good buy for refreshing one's memory in days to come. In these part of North Netherlands they clog shoes were the common for the people. You need to try out to experience as to why locals use clog shoes ...when temperature goes down sub-zero and wet because of rains.
It is best to reach by car from Amstelveen ...about 21KMs. Understand buses service in day time is every two hours.

Eric was a terrific driver and took us off the beaten path as we made our way from stop to stop. We had a quick 4 hour tour, but we were early enough in the day to beat the crowds at Zaanse Schans and Volendam and the place where we stopped for a clog making demonstration and the cheese they make was so great. Highly recommend this excursion to do with a family and the 4 hour timing was perfect.

Nice, but never made it to Marken. We were given a choice, Marken or Volendam because we were picked up at eleven and the driver told us we had to be dropped off at 3, so not enough time. Still worth it. Our driver, Eric, was very polite.

We spent a lovely day touring the countryside and seeing classic Holland sights. Achraf was very personable. Thoroughly enjoyed the private tour. We could go at our own pace and didn’t have to fight to see anything or hear what was being said.

A brilliant tour. Picked up in a quality car by a professional driver. Good communication prior and a pick up from our door. Smoothest tour ever and a great way to kill a few hours before being dropped directly back at the train station
