The visit was very nice, car picked us up on time. The best part was experiencing the temple with the guide Mariam Luka. She explained everything in a very nice way.

Samir Gaber was our guide and he was very informative and knowledgeable. The ride to the temple was interesting and didn’t seem too long. I was happy that there was a bathroom stop in the dessert. We had a large group of friend and they were very accommodating. Adu Simbal temple was absolutely incredible. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was so delicious and people s friendly.

Great experience in Abu Simbel, just be aware that the location of the temples is 3 hours away from Aswan. I enjoy the ride and even with a sand storm going on, I was able to sleep most of the tour. Nermien was patient and knowledgeable for the story of the area. By the end of the tour we visited a perfume store, yes, the prices are very high but I had fun so I don't regret it; however, you can find way cheaper oils at the bazaar in Cairo.

We had an amazing time with Emad. The nicest, most warm-hearted guide we have ever met. We spent the entire day with him: Abu Simbel, Felucca ride, Nire cruise, Nubian village... highly recommend him!

We met with our guide, Emad Aiad, at 7am to go to Abu Simbel.
Right after we met he claimed he was an Egyptologist and had many years of experience. He also said minutes after we met that he felt he had met us for many years. Right…

Granted, he did know quite a bit of Ancient Egypt and he told us a lot of information about Abu Simbel on our way there, kept us engaged and informed, with pictures and well presented pamphlets.
But his sense of humor was very “cringy”, unprofessional and over-the-top, addressing us with names like “my queen”.

During the visit he gave us an Ankh at the entrance of the temple, to afterwards ask us to tip the guard, which we obviously did not. A good guide would have done the opposite. When we asked questions we constantly had the feeling that he was not giving his authentic opinion, but rather what the tourist wants to hear. The place was indeed amazing though and the temples were in fantastic condition.

On our way back to Aswan, he took us to not one, not two but three stores that we did not request. We did buy items at one of them, which we were aware that were over priced. But it was obvious that he had a high commission in every one of those shops.

During a late lunch, he sat with us instead of letting us have our privacy. A good professional guide would never sit with us unless we asked him. And then he asked us to leave him a good review.

To be fair, he did organize future tours for us, for a price that we then confirmed that was legit, and the tours were fantastic. But for all the reasons mentioned above, I would definitely not recommend this guide to anyone who wants more from a guide than cheesy jokes and someone to take photos of them. He was not the worst guide ever but his attitude stroke us as very unauthentic and unprofessional. We do recommend Emo Tours. Just do not ask for this guide. 3 stars.

We met with our tour guide Emad Aiad for our early morning trip to see the famous Abu Simbel temple. Emad arrived right at 4.30 AM and made sure we had enough snacks and water to start our long journey. On the way he filled us in with interesting facts about Egypt. We got to see the sunrise over the Sahara desert. It was magnificent and breathtaking. We spent an hour or so sleeping in the car and then Emad explained the significance of the temples we were going to see. He was well prepared with pictures and maps and gave us a lot of details as guides are not allowed inside the temple. Once we got to the site, he escorted us to the main temple areas and took many wonderful pictures of us. Since we got there early we could take many beautiful pictures and admire the temples without crowds of tourists. On the way back, Emad showed us a mirage in the desert. He was very informative about modern day Egypt and answered all our questions about the locals and day to day living in Egypt. We had a wonderful day and would recommend Emad highly for anyone looking to tour the Aswan area.
