Horrible day. This may have been due to the fact that our original driver/guide was sick so they sent a substitute
What went wrong
*couldn’t hear a thing if you were in the back of the bus
*no organized plan for the day
*took us to Porto tasting (which took 2 hours!!!!). Guide said he didn’t realize the tour would be so long. (Wasn’t that his job???)
*never made it to LELLO Bookstore
*basically was a cluster all around
Spoiled my desire to ever go back and see Oporto.

We had such a great day with Jesper. Learned so much about the history of Porto as we walked through the city. We had a fabulous seafood lunch. We opted for a boat ride on the Douro instead of the winery and it certainly did not disappoint. Great scenery and a relaxing end to the day. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an awesome tour of Porto due to our guide, Hugo, he was professional ,knowledgeable, informative, and personable. He was able to maneuver the narrow streets of Porto like a Pro. The wine tasting was very interesting and we went away knowing a lot more about Port. If you decide to take this tour and can request a tour guide ask for Hugo.

History, churches, and port wine. A great day! Diogo’s knowledge of the city was amazing. A trip to the ocean was a great end to the day.

Our host George picked us up and immediately made us feel right at home as he took us to many interesting destinations throughout the city of Porto. George knows the city and it's history very well. A very good excursion.

Our guide Diogo was super sweet and helpful. I love meeting locals and hearing their stories and hearing from them first hand about a city they love. I would highly recommend this as an initial introduction to Porto then if you want to spend more time going to the various sites you can do that on your own. We did miss out on going to the library and I actually wanted to buy some Portuguese children books. They need a better system so those of us that actually want to buy something could. The tour was a bargain and Diogo was a nice introduction to the wonderful Portuguese locals

We booked this private tour for two couples. We had not secured our lodging before we booked the tour. However, it was not a problem. We simply reached out (via text) to the tour operator, Jennifer, before our arrival, gave her the details of our pickup location and she gave us our tour pickup details.
Diogo was our tour guide! He was punctual and very friendly when he picked us up. The day started very early, and we were picked up in a luxury van that had plenty of space so everyone was comfortable. Diogo was very knowledgeable of the history of Porto and even asked if there were any “definite spots” we wanted to make sure he took us to before the end of the tour. We had no suggestions, so he gave us quite a few. After a stop at the Lello Bookstore, we did a short walking tour around the area. Afterwards, we rode and toured a different area and went across the river. Next was lunch. If you’re lucky enough to get or request Diogo for a tour guide, BEG him to take you to “his” lunch spot. A great little seafood restaurant. And if Diogo takes you to this spot, let the staff choose your meal. The selection they brought to the table was outstanding. We all stepped out of our comfort zone and loved everything! After lunch was the wine tour. It was also great. We sampled and bought some amazing ports. Diogo was such a great guy, we asked where we could find great souvenirs after he dropped us off, since the tour was technically over. He was such a trooper, he took us to a few more places. He even gave us a great dinner suggestion and took us to the restaurant! All in all, with all of it’s beauty and history, Diogo made Porto a place we will definitely visit again!

This was my favourite tour on a 40 day trip! Our guide was wonderful, booked us lunch at an amazing spot, showed us all there was to see. We had two tastings, both a bit different. Highly recommend

Our tour guide was exceptional. She was fun, knowledgeable and knows her stuff! the Porto tasting was the best we had in Lisbon! the restaurant was well designed, had a great selection of ports- our first white porto ever! Delicious cheese and meat pairings! A great experience!
