Our driver Maria was great - helped us decide best itinerary for the day according to the circumstances (always subject to change due to traffic, etc). She was flexible with our time requests at each location and was very responsive to our needs. We didn’t want to spend too much time at each location, so we were able to get a good view of each within the time allotted.

Easy and great communication with Roberto. Pick up and drop off directly from hotel. Made good recommendations for the region. We had a bonus of watching a fun international bike rice in the local town. Would recommend the tour!

This private tour was worth the money. Roberto communicated with us as soon as we booked the tour. The guide Raphael at Herculaneum and Pompeii was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Roberto is an excellent driver and managed the tour very well. Highly recommended.

It was easy to book. The car was clean and comfortable. The driver absolutely fabulous!! He was prompt, professional, efficient, kind and helpful. It was wonderful not to have pressure about getting to the places or getting home. The driver was relaxed and I could tell he wanted us to have a great day...which we did. I can't thank him enough!

This is the ideal tour to gain a full appreciation of the eruption of Vesuvius and its role in both destroying the ancient cities of Pompei and Herculaneum, and preserving them for us to see today.
Roberto, our driver, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and not only helped us practice our Italian, but also provided a great restaurant recommendation for dinner later in Sorrento. He gave us a great introduction to the day’s events as we headed to Vesuvius.
Starting the day by hiking to the summit of Vesuvius helped set the stage for everything that came later, as we looked out over the landscape and had the chance to look inside the crater, and out towards Naples, Capri and Sorrento.
Raffaele, our tour guide in Herculaneum and Pompeii was extremely knowledgeable and described both the history and the archaeology of the two sites as he led us through the ruins - pointing out all the important details.
I can’t recommend this tour enough - both for the sites, but especially for the quality of our guides, and the ways in which they were able to enhance our experience, and truly differentiate this from other tours.

The perfect experience to gain a full appreciation of the volcano, the eruption, Ancient Roman architecture, and the daily lives of Romans. Our tour guide Raffaele was incredibly knowledgeable, and blended the history and the archaeology to tell the story. The private tour gave us the opportunity to move at our own pace, and see as much as we could.

Our tour began when Roberto picked us up from our hotel in Naples. He was courteous, professional and helpful throughout the day. First, we climbed to Mt. Vesuvius crater before most of the tourists arrived and before it became hot. Then we met our expert guide Raffaello at Pompeii. He was engaging and knowledgeable as he explained to us about life in Pompeii before it was decimated. After lunch Raffaello showed us around Herculaneum. This was different from Pompeii and worth a visit. Finally, Roberto drove us back to our hotel. Our tour was excellent.

Wow!! So friendly people, wonderful tour and great tour / activity. The driver (Rafaele) was very nice and we had a guide (Maria) in the two cities (they organised it) who gave very interesting information and answered our wishes perfectly. In July though, it us a little too hot to go. I really recommend this tour and this company!
