This is an exclusive private tour departing from a pick-up point of your choice in and around Edinburgh City Centre, exploring some of Scotland's greatest Lochs, Castles and a visit to see the adorable Highland Cows. Pick-up is at 10am.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Craigie's Farm not used
A 30 minute drive from Edinburgh city centre, is Craigie's farm, you'll get to experience a working farm that has lots of Highland Cows that love carrots as treats. There's also a cafe here to grab a coffee and/or a bite to eat to take on the go.
2. Luss
It is a 90 minute drive to the 'foot steps' of the Highlands and the beautiful village nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond overlooking Ben Lomond Munro awaits. Great photo opportunities. There's a couple of gift shops and places for refreshments and toilet breaks here.
3. Rest and be Thankful
Only 30 minutes away and at over 800 feet, this is a great stop for some photos of the stunning scenery all around you.
4. Inveraray Castle
Only a 30 minute drive away, is the iconic Inveraray castle, one of the few castles with residence, (Duke & Duchess of Argyle) and is the seat of the Clan Chief of Clan Campbell. Open Thursday to Monday, the castle grounds are freely open to the public (there is a charge if you wish to enter the castle) or there’s Inveraray town with plenty of options for lunch and views of Loch Fyne. The Castle closes for winter from Nov to March, but the grounds are still open to the public
5. Kilchurn Castle
A 30 minute drive takes us to Kilchurn castle, used by the English army as a formidable barracks for over 200 years and surrounded by water on 3 sides – a great place for photos.
6. Glencoe Visitor Centre
A 60 minute drive through the Glencoe mountain range, it's scenery is Spectacular. The Glencoe visitor center has a cafe and bathroom facilities and a traditional mud house that was a typical dwelling of the time. Glencoe itself has been designated as both a national nature reserve as well as part of a national scenic area.
7. Kinloch Rannoch
Working our way back through Glencoe with multiple photo stops of the '3 sisters', and other amazing photo stops, Rannoch moor vantage point is 40 minutes away.
8. The Kelpies & The Helix
Our last stop, approximately 90 minutes away is the stunning Kelpies, 2 horse statues., 100 feet tall they are the tallest horse statues in the world.

We booked the “Private Tour of the Highlands from Edinburgh” this past December. As expected, the weather was less than perfect. Despite ample rain and cooler temperatures, Martin, our tour guide, remained committed to our Scottish Highland tour. Unexpected Road closures meant Martin and his team had to quickly pivot and find alternate routes for our itinerary due to fleeting daylight hours. He safely navigated roadways, advised us of interesting Scottish history, and treated us to delicious sustenance during our journey. In the beginning, we were less than optimistic our tour would commence; but working in unison, Martin and his team ended up providing an enjoyable Highland experience. Martin was kind, friendly, and accommodating to our needs. We will not hesitate booking Martin for any future tour upon our return to Scotland.

Chrissie was such an amazing tour guide & made sure we had the best experience possible. Even with limited light and chilly temps, it was AWESOME! The views of the highlands and the photos we got were truly memorable. We heard it’s prettier in the spring but can’t imagine how it could be better than these snow capped vistas! I’d definitely recommend Chrissie and this company to my friends.

Our guide, Martin, was very informative, and conversational. He tried to adapt our tour to what we preferred. He did a good job keeping the tour entertaining despite some bad weather. We had some very interesting stops along the way and we had some good photos. He also provided some tasty local treats and we tried some whisky! He was a good communicator before the tour so we knew all of the details about pickup. The large van worked well for our family of 4 with plenty of room. He was very kind and cared about our experience. Be prepared for long stretches of driving from Edinburgh.

I was so disappointed in this tour. I knew there was a problem when a small Toyota sedan arrived to pick up four adults for a full day tour. Once inside the vehicle, it clearly was a smoking vehicle, which left me with a scratchy throat and headache for two days. I had the clear feeling we were on the outside of all of the attractions all day. Arriving at the Kelpies long after everything was closed. While the guide was pleasant, I paid a lot of money for a private tour, which ended up being a long day in a small car, that you really couldn’t even enjoy the sights from the back seat.

The whole experience felt intimate and enjoyable. Traveling as a family of four with one the most friendliest tour guide (Shak) made this experience memorable. It allowed to see and enjoy at our pace and the sights were breathtaking. Highly recommend doing it this way!!!

We were very well looked after by our guide George. I was taking out very senior relatives and one with restricted mobility. They were given every opportunity to enjoy themselves and with utmost comfort.
