The archaeological site of Muyil is located in the northern part of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere reserve. This ancient Mayan trading post is the perfect place to enjoy astounding Mayan temples such as the 17 meters (57 ft) building known as El Castillo in the incredibly diverse semi-deciduous forest of Sian Ka'an. From the archaeological site you will take an interpretive trail towards the tallest observation point of Sian Ka'an to admire the exuberant vegetation of the jungle and the fresh water wetlands. Once you reach the Muyil lagoon, you will take a boat across two lagoons connected by an artificial canal that has been in use for many centuries. Xlapak is the name of the building at the beginning of the lazy river and the start of an incredible floating experience in crystal clear pluvial water on its way to the Caribbean ocean. You will float for over 30 minutes surrounded by mangroves, orchids, bromeliads. A delicious vegetarian picnic with seasonal fruits is included in the tour.

Our family of five had a wonderful half-day tour of Muyil and Sian Ka'an in large part because of our extremely well-informed guide Leire who showed and shared a clear passion for both Mayan history/culture and wildlife in the bio-reserve. Her enthusiasm was infectious! The river float to end the day was especially memorable and relaxing. She and our driver were also very flexible when we had to switch up the timing on our return. Our guide was amazing! Lea showed us an amazing time and was our favorite guide of the trip. We are booking a cenote tour with her for tomorrow. Oscar our driver was amazing.

Sky was an excellent tour guide. The transportation was on time and we were made aware of in advance when pickup and drop off roughly was. The views and activities were great. It was a lovely half day adventure but was pricier compared to other tours that we have done in Mexico that travelled a longer distance. It was hard to see where the money went.

Great day for our family (10 people) at Muyil. Paloma was our tour guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke good French. She also prepare an awesome lunch for us! We visited the ruins, did a boat tour on the laguna and finished with an amazing swim in the mangrove! Unforgettable day!

We had a large group of about 18 take a tour with Marco. He was knowledgeable, fun, and made the experience wonderful. Highly recommend this if you are in or around Tulum and looking for something to do with family or friends!

We had the best day with our guide Lea, exploring the Muyil ruins and taking an epic float down a canal. We had 7 kids in our group, and she was so patient and entertaining. She made us a beautiful lunch, including homemade vegetarian burritos and sweet cornbread. It was the perfect day! I highly recommend this tour company and spending a day with Lea!
