Jon was fantasic from the start of the booking request all the way to when the tour started.
We had a great private tour for 14 work colleagues, saw some amazing places and went snowmobiling which was great fun.

Jon took us to the "usual" spectacular spots on the Golden Circle -- the Great Geyser, Gullfoss, Secret Lagoon, Fontana -- and also a couple of spots that are off the beaten path that we wouldn't have seen on a larger tour: an amazing quarry where beautiful volcanic sediment is being mined, an incredible tomato hothouse, and other memorable spots.
Jon is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. It was a real joy to spend a day with him and we felt like we'd received a very special perspective on this incredible area.

We so enjoyed the private tour. The van was great (a new Mercedes Sprinter) and our tour guide, Egill, customized the tour for us along the way allowing us to see the things we found most interesting. Any amazing sights and photo ops. The tomato farm and restaurant was not on our radar but ended up being one of the highlights of the tour. Highly recommend.

My family of 6 had the most incredible trip together in Iceland this past Easter weekend(2023) and we have Jon of BR Tours to credit. We decided to spend quality family time together without any other tourists to interfere in our experiences. This was the first time our family had a private tour guide and we do not regret for one second our decision to see Iceland this way. We are thoroughly pleased we choose Jon to take us on a 4 day tour of the beautiful sights and thrilling experiences in this must see country. Jon tailored our tour plan exactly to our liking leaving just the right amount of time to never feel like we were rushed or cut short. His expertise of having done so many successful tours with other groups/families was evident. He took our requests and removed things he knew were not worth the time or expense. He added other sights and experiences that worked perfectly with the timeline we were on - Golden Circle, Geyser, Waterfalls, South coast, Black Sand beach, Glacier Lagoon, Ice Cave Tour, Diamond Beach and the new volcanic flats. The hidden gems(lava field walk, glacier walks, water springs, and others) were extremely enjoyable and interesting to my family. His knowledge of the landscape, geological facts, and history of Iceland and its people kept us engaged during the drives and the stops. His warm, welcoming, friendly and relaxed personality was exactly what my family needed on this trip. We were able to completely chill out in his luxurious and roomy Mercedes Splinter Van. Without us having to drive and navigate the roads, we could sit back and take in Iceland’s amazing scenery. The van also allowed us to comfortably change in it as the weather switched from site to site(rain, sun, wind). As you can see, Jon beautifully captured our time together with picturesque photos that we will cherish. A once in a lifetime trip with a great guide and true gentleman. My boys called him the G.O.A.T. Thank you Jon!

Siggi, our guide, was amazing. He was flexible with our time because we had some slowpokes in the group. Geysir and waterfall were beautiful and lunch st yhe tomato farm was very fun. We had a great time.

Right from the planning stage, Jon will be working with you hand in hand setting up the perfect vacation for your travel group. He will take care of everything, and of course you have the option to tell him what sites to see, and he has connections with all the best people from the snowmobiles, to ATVS, to the ice caves. From the minute you land, until the time you are dropped off at the airport, you truly are a VIP, with Jon making sure you are having the best time of your life. Not only is he a local who works with the best of the best people, he will take you off the beaten path, and you will see things you cant find on google or that you couldn't even dream of. In addition to that being what separates him from everyone else, Jon truly cares and his sole mission when you are in Iceland is to treat you like a VIP, make sure every need is met, and to make sure you have the best vacation of your lifetime. We traveled in November of 2022 and it was a magical experience and exceeded every expectation we had.
