1. Meiji Jingu Shrine
Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city's oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
2. Takeshita Street
Takeshita Street / Omotesando: Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan's leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku's cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan's leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. 3. Tsukiji Fish Market
Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
4. Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo's symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower's majestic appearance.
5. Senso-ji Temple
Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

This is a great tour to walk, and understand better Tokyo. Our guide Yoshi is the best! He is super knowledgeable, patient, and a great guide overall.

Prepare to walk, there is a lot to see. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and make some stops where you can seat.

Rumi was a pleasure tour guide. I highly recommend her. She had several itineraries however, as we went through the day she asked us if we wanted to modify and see other things. She didn’t rush us and was very knowledgeable about the history and present day Tokyo. We are foodies so she took us to one of the best sushi restaurants we have ever experienced. Don’t miss out on this amazing personal experience.

Haru was an incredible tour guide! She was knowledgeable about the religious, political, and economic history of Tokyo. She also gave us recommendations on what to do and eat on other days in Tokyo. I cannot recommend this tour enough for the beginning of your trip to Tokyo.

Very nice tour but a lot of walking! We met at train station indicated and started walking around . English was good since it’s hard to find someone that speaks English in tokyo

We loved our tour with Haru! She showed us around all of the top sights in Tokyo and was very accommodating to any requests or modifications that we made. It was a perfect mix of history, city culture, and the top attractions. Would definitely recommend!

We just loved our tour with Haru. We saw so many spots in Tokyo and our guide was very knowledgeable about the history. Haru was very accommodating to any requests we made and she took our picture lots of times! Would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the highlights of Tokyo on a time budget.

The tour covered a lot of ground very quickly, and the guide Megumi had local knowledge that helped us avoid waits and crowds as well.

Meg also got us into a prototype Teamlab exhibit 30 minutes after the tour began when she heard us lamenting that we couldn't go to their main digital art museum because we had neglected to book ahead. Cheers Meg :)

Rumi was fantastic in showing us the sights of Tokyo. Friendly and informed she explained everything so clearly. It was wonderful to have a guide who was easy going and friendly. Would highly recommend having Rumi to anyone looking to engage a private tour guide.
