Our 8 day/7 night Pyramids and Nile Cruise with Reflections Travel was so well planned and exceeded all expectations. We were met at all airports and the hotels in Cairo were excellent. We always had a driver with our guide which made it so much easier to converse. The cruise on the Nile was on the Monte Carlo where service and food were plentiful. Worth noting, drinks were extra and the ship lacks USB ports, if that is important to you for charging your devices. We were in constanta communication with WhatsApp.
Our guide in Cairo, Maior (I believe), did a great job taking us to the pyramids, museum and Coptic area. It was a full day, but we covered the main attractions with enough time at each.
Abdo, our Nile cruise guide was absolutely amazing with excellent English. His knowledge of Egyptian history was incredible and his enthusiasm for sharing was infectious. He hit all the high points at each site plus more. We were given ample time to explore on our own if we wanted. He also answered all our questions and gave us insight into Egypt’s relationship with its neighbors. Very enlightening.
And for those who are questioning whether Egypt is a safe place to be during these troubling times, let me just say that we always felt safe. Don’t pass this up.

The Pyramids at Giza were incredible. The temple Deir El Bahri, built for Queen/Pharoah Hatseptsut, was a must see! The Nile cruise was fascinating and our private guide, Abdo, was incredibly knowledgeable. Our trip to the Nubian village, which was an additional cost option, was well worth the money. The Nubian village was the only place that we saw Nile crocodiles. Two things to be aware of regarding the Nile cruise ship, ours did not have USB and Wi-Fi was not free. People in America should all experience travelling by car in Cairo as well as Luxor and Aswan, where traffic lanes are only a suggestion and honking is constant. The history, sites, and culture of the Egyptian people are worth travelling to Egypt.

If you’d like to experience the highlights of Egypt, with great guides, reliable transportation, and quality accommodation, then this is for you!
Having decided to take a trip to Egypt, I had undertaken extensive research before deciding on Reflections travel. Ali tailored the tour according to my preferences and I must say he did a fantastic job in choosing the right accommodation, cruise, and fantastic guides (Sam, Roshdy) who had excellent command of English for my private tour. He (Ali) was always available to communicate via messaging for smoothing out a few issues that had come up unexpectedly during the trip, and also made the time to meet face to face at one point to check in and make sure all was well which I appreciated.

I’ll point out a few highlights of this trip:
Upon arrival in Cairo, a representative was waiting for me as I stepped off the plane and assisted with the process through immigration/customs all the way to getting a SIM card and meeting my private driver. This was beyond expectations and made the arrival process frictionless.

The Luxor-Aswan portion of the journey was really nice and relaxing. The Nile cruise Ali had selected was truly 5* and deluxe: clean, comfortable, and the service by the friendly cruise staff was faultless. My tour guide for this leg of the journey was Roshdy - he is so knowledgeable, helpful, personable, and informative, a true gem! Roshdy put in the effort to ensure I was comfortable and checked in to ensure his customer was satisfied. Clearly he is an experienced guide who is motivated in his role and always brought a positive attitude - for example when I needed something from a store, he made sure we took a detour so I would have access to what I needed. He was also knowledgeable about the sites and helped to take some really good pictures! I must also mention the drivers - I was floored by the drivers in Luxor and Aswan who were incredibly professional with very well maintained vehicles - with whom I always felt safe with on the roads (very important with the amount of time spent on the roads)!

Good morning,

During my meeting with the Carrefour travel advisor, I would have liked to have had all the information about the trip. That way I could have said no to the trip.

Here is the list of problems:

-When we arrived in Luxor at 11:20 p.m. after going through customs, we had to find our guide outside the airport to find out which bus we should take.

-Arrived on the boat at 00:15, we have a meeting with the accompanying guide and he informs us of the registration + the drinks packages and other packages. Once the meeting ends around 1:00 a.m. we have to queue at check-in to make payments for the drink packages. In closing, the guide informs us that we must get up at 6:00 a.m. to do the first excursion. No one was happy.

The boat is old but good, however, the mattresses in the rooms are not at all comfortable. These are as hard as a plank of wood. Many people have complained about the mattresses. My partner and my father hardly slept all week because they were so uncomfortable.

-What do you mean in your morning excursion documentation??? For me this means around 07:00, 08:00 or 09:00 in the morning. Not 01:45 in the morning for Abu Simbel, or 05:00 in the morning for Luxor or 04:00 in the morning for Cairo.
The latest we've been able to get up all week is 06:30
Morning = morning therefore after 06:00 in the morning. Morning does not equal night!!!
If we would have had this information from the start we would never have chosen this cruise.

If I pay for an all-inclusive on a cruise for 8 days and 7 nights, it's not to eat a disgusting snack in a small cardboard box on the way to Cairo. In addition, on the boat at the buffet, they had provided the bare minimum for breakfast.

If the excursions are outside like Cairo and we have to eat in a restaurant, tell me why I have to pay for (soft) drinks when I paid for my package on the boat??? This is unacceptable.

When we spend time on the boat, there should be something to eat between meals. Besides the 4:00 p.m. the times with 2 small cakes, there is nothing else.

-I should not expect a cruise like MSC, Celebrity or Norwegian but you sell the cruise as a 5*. For me this cruise is worth no more than 4* and even then!!!.

To tell you the truth, it was lucky that our guide Rania Ramzi was there. She is excellent.

To do it well, this cruise should be done over 10 or 12 days. This way everyone could assimilate the information, the cruise would be much more interesting

Would I recommend this boat? My answer is no.
Would I recommend this cruise? My answer is no.

Would I recommend Carrefour travel? For all the lack of information, my answer is no.

We did the New Year and we are very happy with the guides, Sameh in Luxor was Great!! Friendly, making us understand everything he explained in a very engaging way and also the guide in Cairo, they speak Italian well and are very thorough. The excursions are beautiful, all inclusive and plentiful. We took lots of photos of wonderful and evocative places. The hotel in Cairo and the cruise ship were wonderful, both in terms of cleanliness, organization and the food, all good. We recommend it with our eyes closed.

As a family (2 adults, 2 children), we participated in an 8-day Cairo, Luxor and Aswan cruise from Cairo through the Get Your Guide website. We would like to thank Zeinab for her excellent and dedicated work. We could reach her at any time when we encountered problems and she solved our problems. He informed us of about next day trips and the trips were well planned. Our tour guide in Cairo, Mahmoud, is also a great guide. He was kind, knowledgeable, and worked hard to ensure we had a good time. We thank him very much too and strongly recommended him who would like to visit Cairo. We will comment again later about Luxor and other days of the trip.

The tour guides for this trip are excellent. Sam in Cairo and Barry for the Aswan to Luxor cruise are knowledgeable and helpful, going above and beyond. Truly wonderful experience with the individual tours. But be advised that this is really three tours patched together- Cairo, then the Nile cruise, then Cairo again. I found Reflections poor at communicating the logistics, and they even changed one of my travel options without telling me. The individual tours are operators are 5 star, but the poor organisation and communication from the central office tarnished an otherwise wonderful experience

It was a wonderful experience visiting Egypt with reflections travel. My tour guides throughout the trip were Sam in Cairo, Ahmed in Aswan, and Sayed in Luxor. All of these folks were very kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about Egypt’s history. They always made themselves available for any need I had and I’m grateful for how easy and comfortable they made the trip. I learned so much at each stop and truly got to experience the magic that Egypt has to offer. The tour company also provided around the clock support and were able to address any questions I had.

Sam, our tour guide, was most knowledgeable about all things ancient Egypt. We went on a tour 2 days prior with another guide but learned so much more with Sam. My husband is a huge enthusiast of ancient Egypt and has studied and read many book regarding the history of Egypt. He KNOWS a lot!! Sam has to be on his toes and he was. He was able to answer all of his many questions along the tour and taught him many things he did not know about Egypt. We toured the pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Hanging Church, saw the hiding place of Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the Egyptian Museum. We also had a wonderful lunch included in the tour. Also our driver was excellent. We enjoyed our time with Sam so much so, we will book another tour with him next week to see Old Cairo when we return to Giza after our cruise😀👍🏽🙌🏽
