1. Oia's Main Street
After a convenient pick up head to the northern part of the island and embrace the best of Oia village. Unique in every way with the most spectacular sunset, iconic blue domed churches, scenic pathways and stunning views. One of the most photographed places in Greece, Oia is situated on the top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano and the Aegean sea. The village has several cultural attractions such as: The Maritime museum, traces of a Venetian fortress and Captains houses. You may as well explore the large shopping area and relax in one of the several open-air cafes. The world famous sunset in Oia is available by choosing an afternoon departure.
2. Akrotiri Archaeological Site
(Optional visit) Explore Akrotiri Archaeological Site and go back into time to marvel the secrets and wonders of this lost ancient city. This 4000 year old Bronze age settlement prospered for centuries before being eradicated by a great volcanic eruption. Eventually it was buried in Volcanic Ash, which ironically helped to protect the artifacts from being destroyed. Stroll through the ancient walls and take a glimpse of a Minoan town with the 3-story buildings, well preserved frescoes, an elaborate drainage system and much more.
3. Red Beach
Afterwards see the Red beach, the most unique natural beach of the island, where red is the dominant color. Take amazing pictures of the enormous volcanic rocks and the steep hills that create a captivating wild scenary. This wonderful volcanic landscape will capture your complete attention. While at the Red beach, you may optionally follow an authentic Greek meal in a nearby seaside traditional tavern, where local recipes have been passed through family generations.
4. Pyrgos
Discover Pyrgos village, the old capital of Santorini, known as the island’s “historic monument”. Built on the top of a hill, this settlement holds a 16th century Venetian castle. A charming location to wander around, built by the locals to fortify the area into small alleys and circle shape roads. The village is surrounded by vineyards, blue domed churches, narrow cave houses with charming balconies and pebbled paths.
5. Santo Winery
(Optional visit) Santorini is well known for its long wine-making tradition. The island is covered with vineyards and its volcanic soil and unique climate gives a special flavor to the grapes. Thanos, our driver and guide, was awesome in every respect…on time and where the pick up spot was pre-arranged. His family has continuously resided on Santorini for 10 generations, and so he knows Santorini like the back of his hand. He collaborated in setting a fabulous plan for the day while staying flexible and offering suggestions. He gently kept us moving and on time. In our 6 hours, we toured about 80% of the island without feeling rushed. He took us to the newest and oldest villages, pointed out the best photo ops, filled in as our group of 6’s photographer, added informative history and background info, fielded all of our questions. He even took us into a cave that was typical of where his grandparents lived and helped us visualize what life was like. We saw red, black, and white sand beaches, the highest vista points on the island. He warned us where we needed to be alert for potential pickpocketing although we didn’t encounter it. Would love to double our rating to 10 stars if possible; he’s a true pro and his passion for this island paradise shined through…thanks much Thanos!!!

We had a fabulous day in Santorini! Michael was an expert guide. It was remarkable how he was able to navigate around the island from Fira to Oia, then Megalochori and Akrotiri, while strategically avoiding the crowds and tour buses. We experienced the best of the countryside, seaside, stunning views and historic sites. Thanks Michael.

My wife and I scheduled this tour without any prior knowledge of Santorini or this tour company. Upon booking the tour we received an email from our tour guide, Panagiota, telling us she would meet us at the top of the cable car. We were on a cruise and this was our first excursion booked independent of the ship. Panagiota met us on time and was extraordinarily friendly and welcoming. Her enthusiasm for Santorini as well as her knowledge were immediately evident. We spent about 6 hours with her and throughout the the entire time she was informative and focused on our enjoyment. Panagiota took us all over the island and adjusted the plan to suite our desires and ensured that we saw not only all the beauty of the island, but also got to experience it’s specialness. For example, when my wife said she really wanted to try some local spanakopita, she immediately knew where to go and it was outstanding!! Our time with her was some of the most memorable of the trip!! Thank you very much Panagiota!

We had the best experience on our private tour! We were picked up at our hotel in a fully AC car and met our tour guide Panagiota who was the most wonderful lady! She was so lovely and greeted us with so much warmth. She took us to the important sights including Oia, black and red beaches, lighthouses and wonderful villages where we explored ancient caves and throughout the journey she taught us about the history of the island and traditions.
She took us to a wonderful farm for a traditional lunch which was superb! She was even so kind to gift me a bottle of the local wine from the farm for my birthday!!
Panagiota went above and beyond to make our experience something we will remember for a long time!

I along with 17 family members and friends traveled to Santorini via Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas to tour this beautiful island.
Panagiota of Santorini Tours provided an awesome bus tour experience. We ride, we walked and viewed stunning locations in Oia. Panagiota provided us with the history of Oia and Santorini. So much so I felt I’ve lived there all along. Panagiota was very helpful, open and responsive to our needs. She treated us all with dignity and respect. We saw breath taking sights and great food.
