I would like to clarify we are taking this tour during the summer months, the sun goes down at 9 pm. And the last cable car from San Cristóbal Hill, comes down at 7:20 pm, so there was no night life to appreciate. So we toured the city in car, there was no time for stops, as the dinner show at Bali Hai starts at 8 pm. This show was a perfect way to appreciate part of the Chilean and Easter Island cultures.

First of all the driver did not not speak English as advertised. He would pass use his phone which had a "script" typed into it. He seemed to be driving all over town and constantly doubling back. When we asked to get out of the car to see San Cristobal Hill he drove off.

While in Santiago, we wanted to see the night life and the pulsating city with a nice dinner. Since we werent sure about the safety of the city in the night, we bought this tour to have a easier experience, and we dont regret! The sightseeing was really nice and the dinner was excellent. The folkore dance was interresting, the kids enjoyed a lot!

We knew when we booked this tour that we would not be able to see the city’s night view as the pick up time was 6:30pm ( they changed from 5:30pm ) and the sun doesn’t set till past 8:15pm. though in the tour description they say we would enjoy panoramic view of the city at night. MRO say professional guide and live commentary on board are included but what we got was a driver who just drove us to Cristobal Hill and took us to the ticket counter to pay for our return cable car tickets. It was not a lot of money but in the tour description they say admission to Cristobal Hill and private service- tour inside Cristobal Hill are included. The driver just told us to buy cable car tickets, ride up on our own and come back down by 7:30pm as we needed to arrive at the dinner place by 8pm. We had about 25 minutes up on the hill before he took us to the dinner place. He then dropped us off at our hotel after dinner. There was no panoramic tour on downtown or admission to Parque Metropolitano de Santiago they said would include in the tour. Not sure if the recent unrest calls for a change of itinerary but the driver never mentioned it to us or took us to any alternative attractions. Though the dinner show was very good but charging us Cad175 plus tax per person for a drive to Cristobal Hill and dinner is a huge rip off! The driver did chat with us but he was not giving us any professional guide as MTO claim in the tour description. I JUST FEEL CHEATED.

This was an excellent tour of the city, with special focus on Cerro San Cristobal. The tour guides gave a personalized and informative tour and were very conscious about timing our visit to the centerpiece of the city so that we climbed the hill at sunset. They drove us up most of the way and then we walked from there up to the glorious statue of Mary and magnificent views of the city at sunset with the snow-topped mountains in a pink haze and the Costanera building as a gleaming spire. They gave us a wonderful and fascinating overview of the main city sites as we drove to our restaurant, “Bali Hai”, where we had a folkloric dance performance from different areas of Chile, as well as a delicious meal. All in all, it was the perfect preview of Chile and the guides were very knowledgeable.
