This tour of Athens takes us to the most famous sites of the city, both ancient and modern. Undoubtedly the most famous landmark of Athens and the pride of Athenians is the Parthenon atop Acropolis Hill.
The ancient Roman Agora (marketplace) and the Ancient Greek Agora where Socrates once spoke with the Athenian citizens about such subjects as justice, truth and love.
Wandering a little further from immediate surrounds of the Acropolis, watch the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier known as Evzones. Near the Parliament, we will also see the famous “trilogy” of buildings designed by the Danish architects Theophil and Christian Hansen: the Academy of Athens, the University of Athens and the National Library.

Next is the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the monument known as Hadrian’s Arch, a distinctive Roman structure dedicated to Theseus and Hadrian the founders of Athens.

Amazing people to deal with. Terry was my first contact and walked me through my entire trip and was very clear on the costs.Dimitri was our driver and knew Athens inside out. Outstanding! Cattaxi was fantastic! Fannis & Sophia went above and beyond! They greeted us at The Athens Airport. We also toured the Acropolis w/ a private guide and an afternoon sunset tour to Lake Vouliagmeni & Cape Sounio.. This service is a 10+! All 7 people in our group loved Cattaxi!

Such wonderful service! We had very quickly friendly service when we were picked up from Piraeus port to our hotel. Reliable and the driver was ready as soon as we got there despite a late arrival. The next day we had a private tour with Terry. We learned so much about Greek culture and history, exceeded our expectations! Terry even went out of his way to take us to a non-tourist area souvlaki shop when we asked how to find truly authentic gyros. Highly recommend. He was ready with ice cold water after each of our stops too!
At the very last minute we decided to use CATTaxi to transfer from hotel to airport. They were very accommodating and made it happen! 5 star service all around!

Very pleased with the private tour of Athens and Poseidon Temple. Terry did an amazing job for my group of 5. He was flexible, knowledgeable and accommodating. I am VERY pleased with this experience and having him as a guide. I highly recommend without any hesitation!

We had a great time on this private city tour of Athens! Terry, our guide was great. He had so much knowledge about the city and we learned way more than if we had gone on a bus tour. Because my BF had injured his knee, we did not want to go to the Acropolis. So Terry took us to various places where we could see it, including Lykavittos Hill, 277 meters (910 ft) above the city. What an amazing view!! We also saw Hadrians library and where there were tunnels going underneath the city. He was friendly and the car was clean and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend Cattaxi and use them again when we return! They have also developed an extraordinary VR app for an immersive experience of ancient Athens that is quite unique.

Our tour of the ancient sites of Athens was made so much more enjoyable thanks to the great job that Terry did. Terry was extremely professional and polite right from the start of our tour. What we liked best is that Terry provided tremendous content and context of each site that he took us to visit. His insight really made the experience so much more enjoyable and educational. Terry also let us tour each site at our own pace. Our tour was more like a 3/4 day tour. At the end of our day, Terry took us to a Greek taverna that had really outstanding food at a reasonable price. We also got a chance to have our first Mythos beer!!
To wrap everything up, Terry had my daughter download an app and gave her a viewer that allowed her and us to see the historical sites of Athens as of they were still standing in their full glory. It was a fantastic way to end our day.
My family and I would highly recommend CATTaxi and Terry. Terry was fantastic and really started our Greece vacation on such a positive note!!

Terry helped us get around Athens showing us all the important sites we wouldn't even have considered visiting.
He also helped us with the rest of the trip telling us which roads to drive through and which places to stop over.
Highly recommended.

our half day tour with terry was the best part of our day. terry was really friendly professional with fluent english and wide knowledge about greek history. the car was clean and had wifi and charger for your mobile phone. the fair was very reasonable and at the end of our trip nobody had even the slightest of complaint to make. all taxi drivers should take lessons from terry, he is one of a kind. keep up the great work you do guys.

Our driver John was extraordinarily professional and on time and waiting for us as we exited the port. The van was clean and comfortable and from the beginning John was extremely knowledgeable as he drove us to all of the sites in Athens. The short history of the Acropolis that he put on the tv screens prior to our arrival at the historical site was interesting and helpful as we toured the site. He was patient since we took longer than expected at the Acropolis but we were still able to see the rest of the planned sites. A great tour to take while visiting Athens while on a cruise.
