3. Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute
Santa Maria della Salute is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica located at Punta della Dogana in the Dorsoduro sestiere of the city of Venice. It stands on the narrow finger of Punta della Dogana, between the Grand Canal and the Giudecca Canal, at the Bacino di San Marco, making the church visible when entering the Piazza San Marco from the water. In 1630, Venice experienced an unusually devastating outbreak of the plague. As a votive offering for the city's deliverance from the pestilence, the Republic of Venice vowed to build and dedicate a church to Our Lady of Health. The dome of the Salute was an important addition to the Venice skyline and soon became emblematic of the city, inspiring artists such as Canaletto, J. M. W. Teatro La Fenice is an opera house in Venice. The Malibran Theater is our second home. It was designed by Tommaso Bezzi. In 1992 it was acquired by the Venice Municipality.

If you come to venice with your significant other, you must do this. However, it is said it lasts around 30 mins bit my tour was barely 20 mins, 3 of which was standing still waiting for a lane to clear up. It was insanely short.

Very disappointed-
Unfortunately they didn’t seem very organized. Ride was only 15 minutes vs the advertised 30 minutes. The gentleman did not speak to us and only to other men on their boats. I do not recommend.

The gondola ride itself is very nice, but unfortunately the Tripadvisor ticket is a complete rip-off!
A gondola ride with up to 5 people costs between €90-110 at the countless gondola stations in Venice and definitely not the €190 quoted here!

This does not have to be booked through Viator ahead of time. Gondola rides are 90 euros for daytime till 5pm or 6pm and 110 euros for evening. That’s up to 5 people per gondola. There are plenty of gondolas and it’s only a round trip “around the block”, meaning wherever you board, it will only go around that area. If you want to ride in a specific place, like going under the Bridge of Sighs, you’ll need to board the gondola in the San Marco area. Viator does not inform you about this and we were sent to a location that is less desirable than others. The gondolier was busy on his phone while “gondoliering” (impressive actually) but needless to say, my attempt for conversation to learn about the area was pitiful at best. The 30 minute ride was over in about 18-20 minutes. Oh well, live and learn.

Beautiful and peaceful gondola trip around Venice, which was led by an experienced professional who did point out a few landmarks and worthy photo points! The private gondola is a romantic, lovely opportunity I'd recommend anyone to take!

This was a horrible waste of money. The gondelier was talking on his phone our entire ride. He never spoke to us or pointed out points of interest. It was a very short ride in light rain and they had no umbrellas. For the price we paid to reserve this in advance, we could have had a better experience finding our own gondolier. DO NOT USE THIS GONDOLA OPERATOR NEAR THE GRITTI PALACE HOTEL!!!

This was on the main canal. It was raining so instead of our 30 min. He ended in 20 min. Our Gondolier wasn’t friendly at all. I wish we used a different Gondola area.

This tour was private and should have been 30 minutes. The guide was less than friendly and short with orders like placing us in gondola. Our tour lasted only 15 minutes and for the price we paid apiece this was not worth the experience!!

The ride advertised as ~ 30 minutes was only 16 minutes. Viator refused to give us a partial refund. Highly suggest using a different company for this experience.
