Iceland is a beautiful country full of stunning scenery and this tour covers some of it via the "Golden Circle" route.

Our tour guide Didzis (DJ) was excellent throughout our private day tour. He was knowledgeable and helpful throughout and really made our tour enjoyable.

There is not enough praise in the world for how amazing our tour guide DJ was… from getting us comfortable, to making sure our every whim was catered to, to the knowledge he offered us on the sights…. Just perfection! DJ made our trip to Iceland one of the most fun trips we’ve ever taken!!

Reykjavik is not so much Iceland’s cosmopolitan city.
Rather, it is a secluded town from the Arctic world.
There are not many must-see attractions.
But the city is actually full of scenery.

We did two private tours with Tourism Iceland. Both guides were Europeans, not Icelanders. One was fantastic. This was the other one.

His English wasn't great, either spoken or comprehension, which led to some misunderstandings. He did not accompany us inside the attractions, or convey much information about Iceland or the sights we saw. He tailgated while driving. One site had an entry fee, which we paid, but on reviewing the itinerary afterwards saw that it should have been included.

We would book with Tourism Iceland again, because our other guide was as wonderful as this one was poor. But we would make sure when booking that they understood we wanted one of their good guides.

My husband and I booked this tour as part of our cruise to Iceland. We looked forward to it as a highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, our cruise ship could not dock in Reykjavik because of bad weather. We did not learn about this until the afternoon (4 PM) before our arrival the next morning. I immediately called both Tourism Iceland and Viator to explain our problem and request a refund. They refused because I called after the 24 hr cancellation period had expired. There was no concession given, even though we had no control over the cancellation of the port. I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT book this tour as a shore excursion, given their lack of sympathy for our situation and the reality of port cancellations on a cruise. Trip Advisor should offer optional insurance to cover reservations if their vendors are going to be so customer unfriendly. I will certainly consider choosing tour operators outside of their group given our bad experience.

Our “guide “ was a taxi driver from Kurdistan who had very little knowledge of Iceland history and was unable to answer many questions we had. He also drove very erratically.

The driver was nice but was not really a guide. We did not learn much on the “tour”. A poor price value equation.

We have just finished a cruise around island .
Before our Viking cruise we took a two days trip.
Our guide was Itai Cohen Sade .
We had an amazing two days.
We will never forget these two days.
Mostly because of Itai that knew best where to take us and what to show us .
He has a lot of knowledge to tell us about Iceland and every place we visited.
He was very polite and sensitive.
Pleasure to be with him.
Everything we have seen was breathtaking.
The many waterfalls, the amazing colors and especially green . Never seen such deep green before, so many shades.
I recommend this tour company and our tour guide.
All was perfect
