Visit the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island to learn about apartheid and see where Mandela and other activists and politicians were incarcerated during the regime. After lunch (own expense), visit Table Mountain and enjoy free time at Bo-Kaap, a neighborhood known for its colorful houses and Cape Malay culture.

Mazenga was a great guide! On time and he stayed with us while went to the top of the mountain. I especially appreciated his professionalism :- he reaches out true day before to introduce himself, confine pick time and share tickets. All of which was helpful for a very smooth sailing day.

Armand was exceptional. He was very patient, personable and very accommodating. He was very educational and informative about the capetown and the robben island and the table mountain. I truly enjoyed him.

On arrival I was told that there were no ferries or cable cars operating so I would be refunded in full. I paid the tour guide for morning tour of part of Cape Town. No refund has been received and no response to my email.

We had an amazing day on our tour of Robben Island and Table Mountain. Everything went extremely smoothly, our tour guide messaged me the day before so we knew what to expect and was at our hotel at 8am to pick us up as agreed. Our guide, Mazenga, was very welcoming and friendly and took us to the Quay side for the boat to Robbin Island. All the tickets had been organised and sent directly to my phone so we were straight on the boat, Robben Island itself is fascinating and the tour is split into two parts, the first is on a bus where you driven around the Island and given the history, The second part is in the prison itself and led by an ex political prisoner who gives you personal insight to what life was like there. When the boat got back to the Quay Mazenga was there to meet us and took us to Cable Mountain via Bokaab, which is the Muslim area with brightly coloured houses. Once again Mazenga sent the tickets for the cable car to Table Mountain directly to me so we didn't have to queue for tickets and we were quickly on the cable car. The views from Table Mountain are spectacular and the floor of the cable car rotates so it doesn't matter where you stand as you'll still get an amazing view. Mazenga escorted us up on the cable car and then went down to meet us when we came down. We didn't feel rushed or hurried and could spend as much time as we wanted up there. All in all a really enjoyable day and everything ran really smoothly.

We had a fantastic day touring Robben Island and then Table Mountain. A little mixup with the timing for the tickets to Robben’s Island made us readjust our schedule a bit but no issues with that. We just had breakfast before we went rather than lunch when we got back. Ellie was full of knowledge and accompanied us around the top of Table Mountain. At the end of the tour, despite it being over the allotted time, Ellie drove us through the city providing commentary to the different areas and suggestions for great food.

This tour was absolutely phenomenal! Don’t miss out on this one!
Our house Armand was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. As we drove to the ferry, he provided history on the town and also pointed out the various landmarks on our way.
He gave us the run down of how the day and tour would go and then escorted us to the ferry. Upon our return from Robben Island, we told him we wanted to buy a few spices. He took us to Bo Kaap which is neighbor lined with beautiful & colorful architecture. In the area, we went to a lovely spice shop.
After the spice shop, he took us to Table Mountain where we rode a cable car to the top and he took us on a guided tour around the mountain pointing out neighborhoods and landmarks for us to view on each side of the mountain.
Lastly, Armand took us to a market where we bought various souvenirs. It was perfect as we were able to find everything we wanted.
I am so happy I booked a private tour as this was the best experience with the most amazing host!

Our tour guide Elie picked us promptly at our BnB. He was so professional, knowledgeable and patient. He shared very interesting stories on the way. He assisted in capturing the best pictures of me and my husband. We had so much fun and learned a lot. Highly recommend Elie. Visiting the table mountain and Robben Island was the best experience ?

This trip did not go ahead. It was cancelled due to issues in cape town. We are still waiting for refund and absolutely no response .Awful service

Very good and informative tour. The bust tide was good even though we were warned about motion sickness. The guide on the bus was well versed and made us all feel comfortable before we were exposed to the ugliness of apartheid regime prison life. The former inmate was pretty matter of fact and not as emotional as I would have expected after spending 18 years behind those bars. I wondered how stupid the guards must have been to allow so much to go on under their noses, including Mandela writing a book and getting it out piece by piece.
Unfortunately, the clouds didn’t cooperate at Table Mountain, so all we experienced was the Table Cloth at the top. Views were spectacular 1/2 to 2/3 up, but at the top we couldn’t see anything but fog.

The tour was amazing, a day to remember forever. Going to Robben Island so inspirational and Table Mountain magnificent. The tour organised by Zion is strongly recommended and my guide Elie is knowledgeable, polite and went the extra mile to render this event unforgettable
