Our driver, Tisiano, met us at our hotel in Florence and drove us to Assisi, and then to Cortona. He knew the important parts of St. Francis' story, and stopped at the Portiuncula sanctuary before arriving in the town of Assisi. We so appreciated that, because we really weren't sure of what we should see. We were free to roam in Assisi and then met our driver at an appointed time. We then drove to Cortona and stayed for an hour or so--it's a very beautiful town. Before returning to Floe also stopped at an old church that our driver particularly likes which is very beautiful. Tisiano was punctual and professional and really just a wonderful person. We had a great day!

If I could give our driver OSWALDO 10 stars I would. Omg he was so kind. He changed our stops a little bit to accommodate us and explained everything. When we were ready to be picked up he was always there waiting for us. It was a fantastic day. ASSISSI is so beautiful

Assisi was beautiful. It was the low season so no crowds and lots of atmosphere. We loved wondering the narrow cobblestone streets and visiting the religious sites. Cortona was even more medieval and equally fascinating. Placido, our driver guide was great.

Assisi is beautiful but not worth the price for driving service. Not much input from driver who also seems too eager to just get us there and back.

Great visit to two special places. Assisi in Dec was wonderful. Special note to our driver Placido. If you are able try and get him. He made the day what it was.

Our day trip to Assisi and Cortona was lovely, despite essentially all the shops being closed in Cortona (apparently it was Monday). Our driver was just a driver however and barely spoke to us at all. We knew he would not be a guide to us around the towns but based on other reviews we expected he would be at least sharing some of his knowledge during the drive.
It would have been helpful to have been provided city maps to aid in our self-guided tours. We found the information center in Assisi where we obtained one, but were not successful in doing so in Cortona.

We had a good trip. Our driver was nice and friendly and even picked us up when we got lost and didn’t make it to the meeting point. He also took us at the plaza of Michael Angelo even if that was not included in the tour!

City tour guide was very late showing up so we ended up not using him. Not sure what happened there.. Christian (our driver) did a great job of making sure we got to see and do everything we wanted. He provided much information on the history of the region and made arrangements for us to visit an excellent winery for tasting and a great lunch. He is the best tour guide/driver ever!!!!!

We were booked on a private tour of Assisi, but because of a mix-up in the bookings we ended up on the group tour to Assisi, Cortona and Passignano Sul Trasimeno. This turned out to be good for us because we ended up having Julio as our tour guide. Julio was fantastic. He led a group of English and Spanish speaking tourists. He was able to switch effortlessly between languages. He was entertaining and very knowledgable and considerate of the needs to the tour group. He gave us extra free time where he could. The afternoon in Assisi was definitely the highlight: very moving and well presented. Scenery on the way was stunning. Ten out of ten Julio!
