1. Siena
Siena is one of the most popular and visited places in Tuscany. It is known throughout Italy for its distinguished medieval architecture. Upon arrival, explore its rich history and art, through its notable local monuments such as the famous seashell-shaped Piazza del Campo and the outstanding Siena Cathedral. Many local shops fill the historic streets of Siena, a great opportunity for you to taste local food or buy some gifts!
2. Duomo di Siena
The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is the main location of Catholic worship in Tuscany, and the diocese of Siena. The building is located in the square of the same name in the center of the city. Built in Italian Gothic style, it is one of the most significant and spectacular churches built in Italy.
3. Piazza del Campo
Piazza del Campo (or simply, il Campo) is the main square of the city of Siena. Unique for its particular and original seashell shape, it is renowned all over the world for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where the Palio di Siena takes place twice a year.
4. Monteriggioni
Make a lovely stop in the small, fortified village, which is still surrounded by its original medieval walls. Located not far from Siena, Monteriggioni is a great spot for a short walk after lunch at one of the local restaurants.
5. Chianti Road
The SS222 road, better known as Chiantigiana, is one of the most beautiful roads in Italy. It passes along the entire Chianti region, from Florence to Siena. Driving on it is a great way to discover the area. You will take this scenic road going north, starting from Siena and reaching Castellina in Chianti. The area is rich with castles and villages. One example is the Castle of Fonterutoli, where you will stop to admire the small medieval village surrounded by endless vineyards, centuries-old woods, and green hills.
6. Marronaia Wine Garden
*OPTIONAL lunch at the Farm or Winery. Have lunch in a wonderful organic farm. While the owner will show you around the property, his wife will prepare a delicious and unforgettable lunch for your private group. The owner will show you to his cellar to admire his Super Tuscans and Chianti Classico wines -Craft Wine- and to the nearby Acetaia, a vinegar cellar, with old vinegar. Afterwards, experience a unique dining setting while taking in an amazing Tuscan panorama. You will taste organic specialties, such as the typical Lasagna with traditional sauces, crostini, local meats and cold cuts, legumes, seasonal vegetables, honey, and cheeses seasoned with an incredible aged balsamic vinegar. Wine will accompany this lunch every step of the way. Each of the four main courses and desserts will be paired with a different and distinctive glass of wine. We will conclude with ice cream and balsamic vinegar or other desserts.
7. San Gimignano
The beautiful stronghold of San Gimignano is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Tuscany. San Gimignano is a treasure of medieval architecture, frozen in time at 1300 AD. Above all, it is famous for its ancient towers, which still stand out from its skyline, earning it the nickname Manhattan of the Middle Ages. Don't forget to stop by the famous Dondoli ice cream shop, winner of many awards for the best ice cream in the world. This is the last destination of the day, before returning to Florence.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR ENOUGH!!! Alessandro is an absolute pro, and made this experience one of the highlights of my honeymoon. Any person that ever tells me they are visiting Tuscany/Florence from here on out, I will INSIST they spend a day taking a tour through UNIQUE TUSCANY. 1. Every tour is customizable, so while Alessandro will make wonderful suggestions, he is great about making sure he can accommodate specific requests. 2. I cannot get over his vast breadth of knowledge, and how generously he shares it. We learned so much about each sight we visited, interesting facts about everything we drove past, history about Florence + Tuscany, about how different wine and olive oil producers make their products - there was nothing we asked about that he didn't have thorough answers to. 3. His passion and love for Florence and Tuscany is infectious. 4. He made wonderful recommendations for every category of activity we were interested in. 5. He makes the entire day seamless, as you are dropped off and picked up at the most convenient spots. He made it so that you never had to double back anywhere to meet back up with him - you can truly make the most of your time in each location you visit. I urge you to book through this company. This is a very full day of touring, but Alessandro made the experience so easy and informative. If you need to see the most key parts of the Tuscany region in a short time, this is a perfect tour to get that experience. Siena and San Gimignano are key cities, both medieval in character. The tour gives you a nice amount of time to take a walk through both, stop at some small shops, and see some key sites.

You will also get to enjoy a delicious lunch and try some local wine at a winery (La Marronaia) just down the hill from San Gimignano (with a perfect view of the city's towers). Completely picturesque.

Alessandro provided a lot of context and helpful information to get the most out of each stop. He's very passionate about the region and is more than excited to share his knowledge with you.

Alessandro is a man of many talents. His skill and knowledge as a tour guide is unmatched. His knowledge of history, art, cars (especially high performance cars), the grapes used in different wines and where good olives are grown to make sure the taste of the olive oil doesn’t overshadow the taste of the food makes him an exceptional guide. Sienna is beautiful and San Gimignano is like going back in time. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to experience a day of tours like no other.

Allesandro was a terrific guide with excellent knowledge of the area surrounding Florence. He gave us plenty of free time and flexibility to explore Siena and San Gimignano on our own and made several stops for photo ops as we drove through the Tuscan countryside. Can't say enough good things about this experience. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a fabulous day with Alessandro! We began our day in Sienna with a fantastic tour then on to a winery for a tour/lunch overlooking the vineyard. Our last stop was San Gimignano, a beautiful hilltop city. Alessandro was congenial, informative and a pleasure to spend the day with.

My husband and I took this tour together and had a fantastic experience. The countryside was breathtaking and our tour guide (Alessandro) was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. My husband asked about a hundred questions during our drive.

The lunch was delicious and Siena was a beautiful city. It started to rain during our last stop in San Gimignano, but Alessandro provided umbrellas, and we still enjoyed strolling around the medieval city.

It was so convenient to not worry about renting and parking a car and still get to travel across the beautiful Tuscany landscape.
