1. Acropolis
This private tour will take you to all the must-see sights of Athens. If you are visiting Athens for the first time, this tour provides an excellent introduction to one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. During your Acropolis visit (approx. 2 hrs) you will see:- Propylaea, - The Parthenon - Erechtheion - The Temple of Athena Nike,Looking down from the Acropolis you'll see the two ancient theaters in its shadow:- The Theater of Dionysus , the oldest Greek theater (built in the 5th century BC), - Odeon of Herod Atticus, erected in AD 161. The site hosts performances for the summer Athens Festival
2. Temple of Olympian Zeus
The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a former colossal temple at the center of the Greece capital Athens. It was dedicated to "Olympian" Zeus, a name originating from his position as head of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants, who envisaged building the greatest temple in the ancient world, but it was not completed until the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, some 638 years after the project had begun. During the Roman period the temple -that included 104 colossal columns- was renowned as the largest temple in Greece and housed one of the largest cult statues in the ancient world.

The Panathenaic Stadium or Kallimarmaro is a multi-purpose stadium in Athens, Greece. One of the main historic attractions of Athens,it is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.A stadium was built on the site of a simple racecourse by the Athenian statesman Lykourgos (Lycurgus) c. 330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games.The stadium was excavated in 1869 and hosted the Zappas Olympics in 1870 and 1875. After being refurbished, it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the first modern Olympics in 1896. It was used for various purposes in the 20th century and was once again used as an Olympic venue in 2004. It is the finishing point for the annual Athens Classic Marathon.It is also the last venue in Greece from where the Olympic flame handover ceremony to the host nation takes place.
4. Mount Lycabettus
Lycabettus hill also known as Lycabettos, Lykabettos or Lykavittos is a Cretaceous limestone hill in Athens, Greece at 300 meters (908 feet) above sea level. Pine trees cover its base, and at its two peaks are the 19th century Chapel of St. George, a theatre, and a restaurant.
5. Changing of the Guard Ceremony
One of the most unique experiences is the changing of the guards in Athens. The presidential guards or Evzones, guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Hellenic Parliament building around the clock, through the coldest winter night or hottest summer day. Evzones are an elite unit of the Greek army and it is a very high honour for a Greek guard to be selected as an Evzone
6. Arch of Hadrian
The Arch of Hadrian, most commonly known in Greek as Hadrian's Gate, is a monumental gateway resembling – in some respects – a Roman triumphal arch. It has been proposed that the arch was built to celebrate the adventus (arrival) of the Roman Emperor Hadrian and to honor him for his many benefactions to the city.There were two inscriptions on the arch, facing in opposite directions, naming both Theseus and Hadrian as founders of Athens
7. Acropolis Museum

Our driver was very courteous and helpful and his vehicle very clean. Our guide hired by Athens was very knowledgeable and made the history interesting and did not try to push us too hard. We had a wonderful experience

Easy pick up at port. George our driver was professional and knowledgeable. He took us to hot spots in Athens and the shopping for sandals I requested. George assisted in making arrangements for our lunch. All was as advertised, was a perfect excursion. We were treated very nicely and our expectations fully met. Only hiccup was there was an extra fee for drop off at hotel at airport. The company did tell up front about fee but payment was expected in euros (cash)not charged to credit card so that misunderstanding of directions was unfortunate.

You will not regret booking this company. We had 11 people in our group our driver was knowledgeable and passionate about Athens. He mad the whole trip. We have us local spots to eat and visit as well as the vast history of Athena. We loved it And when we return we will rebook

I contacted Athens Tours for assistance with transportation needs and a tour guide for our group of 16 guests. Dionisis was very professional in setting up the arrangements for us and clearly communicated with us via email all that we needed to know and do to prepare for our group. Our tour went as planned and our driver and guide were just perfect for our small group. I would highly recommend their services while in Athens.

Our tour guide George was excellent. He was able to customize our tour to see and do exactly what we wanted to do. He picked us up at the port, kept our luggage safe in the van, and dropped us off at the airport! He gave us suggestions for coffee, lunch and how to see the best sights in a short amount of time. He was very knowledgeable and provided interesting facts and information.

We were looking for a custom private tour in Athens that included the Jewish museum, synagogues and Holocaust memorial, as well as history of the Athenian Jewish community as well as all the main historical sites. We were very impressed with our one day adventure with our driver George and our very knowledgeable tour guide Deena. Deena has a great knowledge of Jewish history and culture and is very nice and and fun to spend a day with. If Jewish history is on you list, Deena is the guide to request. George even drove to the most incredible lookout over the city, something not accessible by bus. Not only did they somehow fit all the sites into one day, but also recommended a wonderful local spot for a very reasonable and most delicious lunch. This terrific duo certainly provided first class service and an unforgettable experience. Thank you very much! V.C.

I used Athens Limo for pickup from the airport, an all-day private tour, and a drop off at the cruise port in Piraeus. Everything went as planned. Private tour was comprehensive and tour guide was superb. It was a fantastic way to see Athens, avoid jet lag, and start a wonderful vacation. I would definitely recommend and use Athens Limo again.

We booked this company for a private full day tour of Athens on the hottest day of the year. We were skeptical at first since this company didn’t have as many reviews as other touring companies on Trip Advisor website but we were glad that we did. Our driver George met us at the cruise port with my name, especially there were other drivers waiting to greet their guests. George was courteously zipped my family of 4 to the Acropolis and spent the entire day shuttle us around to various site seeing places. Along the way, he provided cold water and had a cold car waiting for us to return to. Thank you for your service. And we will definitely use this company again when we visit Greece. Again thank you!

John was an amazing guide who took us to all the important parts of Athens. He treated us like family and we truly enjoyed our trip. The van was comfortable and John's driving was excellent.
